The Trust holds gold bars and from time to time, issues Baskets in exchange for deposits of gold and distributes gold in connection with redemptions of Baskets. The investment objective of the Trust is for the Shares to reflect the performance of the price of gold bullion, less the Trust’s expenses. The Sponsor believes that, for many investors, the Shares represent a cost-effective investment in gold.

·8.9.Was stupid to sell this back in May. Would like to buy it back, but I'm not allowed to buy it when I place an order. Nordnet gives the message that it lacks a multi-group rating and cannot be traded by non-professionals. I remember well that I got a message when I owned the ETF that it would be removed from Nordnet's trading. So I think those of you who have it have had it for a long time now.
·5.10.Yes, it's really sad that there are so many restrictions on "complex ETFs" even though I think this one is both uncomplicated (a completely ordinary commodity) and a very safe investment. I've had it for 5-6 years and I'm not selling it precisely because it's hard to get back in. Hope you find another paper with exposure to gold. It's still a good investment and could very well go to $10k per ounce within a few years. It's almost as if the mob is being prevented from buying gold. Then you know that it's one of the completely safe havens to be in in an uncertain future.

An established break of the resistance at $316 would signal further upside to $332 or higher. GLD has marginally broken through resistance at around $314. An established break would indicate further upside. Volume has previously been high around price peaks and low around price troughs. This strengthens the trend picture.
