Hi, newbie asking, If I have understood correctly, will the share price fall by the equivalent of the dividend after Ex-day? Anyone with experience with PNOR and can speculate about the probability that it will recover quickly? 🙄

PNor has only paid three dividends, so there is little company-specific history to answer your question company-specifically; The first dividend (and dividend policy) was approved at the AGM in May 2024, declared in December 2024 and went ex in Jan 2025. If you look at the price chart, you will see that the share rose sharply (>>the dividend) from when it was declared in December until ex, but then the price fell sharply (>>the dividend) after ex The second dividend was declared in April 2025, went ex in May and was approved at the AGM in May 2025. The price rose sharply when the dividend was declared (>>the dividend) and then fell sharply (>>the dividend). The third dividend was declared now in May, it will be formally approved at the AGM later this month and also goes ex the day after the AGM. The price has risen sharply after the dividend was declared (>>the dividend). If you base it on the pattern of the two previous dividends (I'm not saying you should, but I interpret your question in that direction), the price will fall sharply on ex (>>the dividend). Here are three things that are different from before; 1) The oil price is significantly higher (I don't think it will return to the same level after the war is over) 2) PNor has taken a strong overløft and thus secured a juicy oil price (should therefore fall less than others in an oil price drop) 3) The Økokrim ghost has taken physical form - this can cut both ways; the market hates uncertainty and the risk has partially materialized, but even if a verdict can be appealed, the market might start to see an end to the ghost. As for recovering quickly, the price has been relatively flat until the next dividend declaration. If you base it on that, you have to wait a year before the next price boom, BUT I believe that the lawsuit this autumn will have greater significance in that regard (but whether it turns out negatively, as one might expect, or positively, since the market should look forward, I am not sure)

Every day that Hormuz is closed, and it in my opinion will be for a long time, PetroNor is going to have this high valuation. I am invested heavily and personally believe in success even after the dividend is paid. Thy are milking money by gallons even in the long term.

Since wild speculations are presented as facts, I will provide a brief overview of PNor's dividend history. Back in 2022, they were very clear that they had no plans for dividends, as it's something one does when there are no good opportunities to invest/grow, while PetroNor had great ambitions to grow In 2023, however, a change occurred. In August, I noted "Consider other options for shareholder value such as dividend or share buyback program in 2024" And in 2024 (for Q4/23), they talked about being able to start a dividend policy during the year, and that the board wished to propose it to the gen. meeting. They envisioned annual dividends. In March, on the savings bank's day, there was talk of "meaningful" return of capital and in November (for Q3), they talked about 25M (after discussing with Økokrim), but "approval of audited interim balance sheet EGM mid-jan 2025". And just before Christmas, we received the first dividend declaration of 2kr :) In February 2025 (for Q4), they talked about the next dividend, with "AGM in May would be natural" and in Q1 (May), we get it confirmed. Here, the company also explicitly states (again) that the first 2 kr were for 2023, while the next 2.2kr were for 2024. Here, they also state that they wish to have dividends on an annual basis in connection with the AGM (which is always in May), based on the previous year's performance and cash-balance. In November (Q3), they say that "Board will be in a strong position for another repayment of capital in mai 2026 " and now we have received 3.25 in May (technically it's "only" proposed, but I would fall off my chair if it doesn't happen). In summary, the company has declared three dividends; 1) 23.12.2024 on 2,0kr for 2023 2a) 28.04.2025 on 2,2kr for 2024 2b) This is explicitly confirmed in the Q1 report page 7 3) 05.05.2026 on 3,25kr for 2025 1) https://newsweb.oslobors.no/message/635561 2a) https://newsweb.oslobors.no/message/644566 2b) https://petronorep.com/media/h5om0ohc/25q1-pnor-presentation.pdf 3) https://newsweb.oslobors.no/message/672432

A bit more concise; First dividend (2kr) approved at AGM May 2024 Second dividend (2,2kr) approved at AGM May 2025 Third dividend (3,25kr) will be approved at AGM May 2026 Even more concise; First dividend declared 2024 Second dividend declared 2025 Third dividend declared 2026 Alternatively; First dividend applies to net income 2023 Second dividend applies to net income 2024 Third dividend applies to net income 2025 The only extraordinary thing about these dividends is how many independent entries the word "extraordinary dividend" appears here. It seems that someone is working hard to create an expectation (#pump and dump)

Since there are always many who wonder about these things, we can do a summary again. To get dividends in this stock, one must own the shares Friday in 2 weeks, i.e., May 29. The dividend is proposed to be 3.25kr, which at today's share price corresponds to 18.2% - which is among the best dividend payments on the stock exchange. Historically, last year one received two dividends, one ordinary and one extraordinary, totaling 4.2kr. If there will be anything extraordinary this year, no one knows, but that they still have a lot of money in the bank even after this dividend, there is no doubt about. The company's policy has been repeated many times, and that is to be a shareholder-friendly company that shall pay dividends, approx 30% of net profit. At these oil prices, there is thus a lot of money. Dividend is normally paid once every year (at the end of May/start of June). For information, I still own a good number of shares here and have done so for approx 5 years, with some trading along the way. I have also taken some profit recently as the price has performed very well. I BELIEVE the price will continue up towards 20kr before ex-day. But if the oil price suddenly plummets, the price here will probably also follow somewhat, even if the oil price currently means little for PNOR. Do your own assessments, but better dividends are hard to find :)

Huomioi, että vaikka osakkeisiin säästäminen on pitkällä aikavälillä tuottanut hyvin, tulevasta tuotosta ei ole takeita. On olemassa riski, että et saa sijoittamiasi varoja takaisin.
