Several main reasons why prices could grow in the future: AI investments are in full swing. Data centers are sucking up copper like never before. Microsoft used over 2,000 tons of copper in just one data center in Chicago. By 2050, AI data centers will use six times more copper than today, from around half a million tons annually to a full 3 million tons. The power grid in the US and the rest of the world is unable to keep up. The Economist just wrote about this problem. Nvidia sells racks that use 11 times more electricity than traditional racks. The power grid must be upgraded to allow AI companies to continue to grow, which means even more copper. At the same time, the entire world is rearming militarily. The US is increasing the production of artillery shells from 93,000 to 1.2 million this year alone. The military already uses 2.2 million tons of copper annually, almost 10% of all world production, and this is growing at 14% per year. New copper mines take between 12 and 26 years to build. Supply simply can't keep up with demand. Anglo American and Teck recently merged for over $50 billion, the largest mining acquisition in over a decade. They know what's coming. Jeff Currie of Carlyle calls copper "the new oil" and predicts prices of $15,000 a ton. Bank of America sees $10,750 by 2025. Perfect storm for copper ETFs if you ask me. If things continue to be this good in the future, I will probably take some profit over time. If I have something placed in a pension portfolio, I think I will sell something if it exceeds about 15%. But I believe in copper since most of it will be electrified, so I will probably keep this ETF for a long time.

Bought this for my newly created installment pension. I think that it is good to have diversification when buying mining shares, as there can be great company-specific uncertainty about the individual companies. Have felt a little underexposed to copper. I'm not crazy about stock taxation, but since installment pensions are stock taxed anyway, I think it's fine. Slightly more expensive in terms of APR of 0.7 per cent. than the iShares equivalent fund with 0.55, but the spread here is significantly lower. Unless it is to be kept for many years, I think this is the cheapest - however, the two funds have slightly different composition of the holdings, which may be impossible to assess...

You could consider investing in some of the ETF's individual shares via a currency account in free funds. I have dropped Boliden in free funds because I am annoyed by their stunts with "distribution shares" and ISIN codes.
