- ·1 päivä sittenCME' s attempt to "control the market"..what do you think? In the long run, shouldn't supply and demand reasonably govern in a healthy market? The demand for physical silver is completely different today than in -79/80 when they wanted to defend the dollar. What do you think? From 2026 onwards, the need for silver, especially, will be great in many sectors..Nvidia for example can afford to pay a few extra kronor, one might think.. What happens to the dollar and how does that affect us who are invested here? Many questions / thoughts...perhaps someone has an interesting reflection?·9 t sitten · MuokattuHi banksson, if there's no response here, then we have some discussions under e.g. Blackrock Silver, possibly Discovery and/or Silver X - damn near forgotten where, because it's been a bit fast this past week yes ☺️. I myself shared some links about this last night under a thread in Blackrock that I started earlier. Check it out if you want, it's long though and also a lot of internal chatter :-) Not specifically about the dollar, but debasement is one of the underlying drivers for the rise in metals. And yes, hopefully silver in particular will break free from the control and manipulation it has been subjected to, so that it finally finds the price level the market is willing to pay (which is probably much higher than 80, 100 or whatever).
- ·3 päivää sitten · Muokattuhttps://www.google.com/amp/s/www.news.com.au/finance/money/investing/silver-hits-record-prices-in-china-amid-demand-and-short-supply/news-story/e0de07e7919711e75c8b7f461fa723e4%3famp Interesting article from news.com.au China introduces export restrictions on silver from 1 Jan [ Fact check yourself ] not a buy or sell recommendation. It feels, at least from my perspective looking at Hecla, that they are well positioned with their domestic production. Valuable when China "tightens the belt"
- ·17.12.Anyone who wants to comment on whether this is a high or low price for hecla, (possibly when one should aim to enter).·18.12.Thanks for the answer mate, started following you yesterday so I think this is smart to listen to!·20.12. · MuokattuIt should have said "unjustified", autocorrect ruined it.. But as a somewhat adequate answer to the question, I perhaps spend a couple of hours a week listening to interviews (which often, admittedly, are pure sales productions), podcasts, reading newsletters, as well as financial Twitter and forums. Perhaps an hour a day, possibly. But I don't have knowledge of geology or anything like that. So it's largely about gaining trust in company leaders and seeing what they've done previously. Reading others' analyses and taking everything with a grain of salt.
- ·17.12.Any new updates from Hecla ? Where do you follow news about e.g. Hecla..I have investing.com but not yet a paying member so I cannot read certain articles. Gruvor och metallar is a good site that updates broadly..but more generally about mining operations..
- ·12.12.I'm thinking about, e.g. when investing in silver mines and selecting them, that it's probably best to avoid the US-listed ones, as I believe the dollar will fall. I am not an economist. It's probably called DXY, the index. Have others had similar thoughts?·12.12.The actual listing venue, I believe, plays a small role in terms of currency. More important is in which currency they have costs, which is mainly where the mines are, and they can be in different places around the world even if the company is listed in the USA. Metal prices are also set in USD, so regardless of where the mine is located or the company is listed, it is affected by the dollar in sales in approximately the same way, as the price is basically the same worldwide for metals.
