9.9.·When will they realize that they have to make cheaper cars? Polestar 5 may be awesome in every way, but come on, 1.3 and 1.6 million kronor !! In order for them to start making money, they have to make cars that the masses buy. Believe in the company but as long as they have their heads above the clouds they will never succeed 🙄
2 päivää sitten2 päivää sittenI understand your feelings. When I learned that Polestar was giving up the model 2, and the whole price point/market segment, it made me sad. However I know that it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to build an electric car and sell the sold car at profit under 50 000euro. It is almost impossible and you need extreme economies of scale to make it happen. Polestar is and always was a small brand and executing this type of car maybe always was beyond their reach. I expect every model 2 was sold at loss, in the end. Maybe some time in the future? We will see.
4.9.4.9.I don't think the report was as bad as the market reaction. Polestar’s loss looks severe, but most of it came from a non-cash impairment charge. Excluding that, the company actually showed strong revenue growth and higher deliveries, with a solid cash position. In reality, the core business is still expanding despite headwinds. Thinking of increasing my position.
