Well, 'traditional' energy is black, so you're investing against the good of humanity and besides, it's a shitty investment financially - 1 year -6.42% not exactly a goldmine to support Exxon and Shell and not something you talk about with your friends at the pub. So it's a no from here.
·4.4.2025It feels like the energy sector has a bit of bad momentum, will continue to buy, think we will see higher prices but it will probably go badly in the near future due to review risk so it suits my long-term savings portfolio for a bit longer, about 5 to 10 years and falling prices should mean that the average price of the ETF should be good but who knows, it's just my thoughts
I have it in monthly savings so I have the same view as you. Now Saudi etc. have increased production so oil will probably fall a little more, but I can't really figure out how high oil will go in the long term. Right now it seems like there is more than we need and if the oil producing countries continue to increase production and we at the same time move more away from fossil fuels towards renewable green energy, is this an ETF that doubles in 5 years? Who knows
