- ·45 min sittenI think it has fallen since the meeting ??? was there bad news·25 min sittenYes, one would think so, if it was good it should then rocket up, just like it rocketed down.
- ·1 t sittenNow that I wasn't at the meeting myself, maybe someone would like to tell in broad strokes what happened, and why their quarter suddenly was bad with a deficit.
- ·2 t sittenAt the investor meeting, there were several questions about financial leasing. I don't know if everyone is aware of what the impact looks like, but as a finance director, I will briefly try to explain what is technically called IFRS16: Traditional model: Leasing expenses are considered an ordinary operating expense. Is it trailer cost of goods sold / "cost of goods sold" (it can be as another operating expense but secondarily). One could call it simple accounting. IFRS16: View leasing as equating it with the purchase and bank loan of the trailer. This means that you have an asset and get depreciation, and at the same time, you have a "loan" on the liabilities side of the balance sheet. Interest is calculated, but that is less relevant regarding the questions raised. The big difference is that depreciation (i.e., among other things, IFRS16) lands under EBITDA, whereas leasing expense under the traditional model lands above / incl. in EBITDA. If one compares EBITDA, it's therefore apples and oranges. EBIT remains (almost unchanged, interest affects but hardly materially here). FT should (or ought to) adjust historical figures in the comparative figures, but it can be somewhat complicated, and currently, they show EBIT instead, which is probably not entirely wrong. EBITDA is a classic private equity approach; there are divided opinions on whether it is representative or not, but it always depends on what one wants to deduce.
- ·2 t sittenAt the online investor meeting, I also think that the new CEO Thomas Zeihlund answers very well the questions about why they lost Salling to a competitor and overall a good review of the further growth strategy from here. So all in all, I think it was a super good invrstor meeting. I will at least keep all my Freetrailer shares.
- ·3 t sittenI think that CFO Martin Damm very precisely at the online investor meeting explains the transition to the new financial year they switched to, as well as elaborates on their results quite well, and that makes me feel very secure.·3 t sittenWas the future discussed?
