A municipality in Switzerland, Meggen; has too much money in its coffers and is considering new investments, including: ”For e-bikes, the group proposes five new Nextbike stations or an expansion of the existing network. The first 30 minutes of use should be free.” Wouldn't it be an idea for the CEO, or someone else, to contact the municipality?

The advantage for DR could be the 1ste step towards the rest of the country.

The ABG analysis house has just come out with a positive estimate for what the Q2 reporting will be from Dunkey and I think that should be able to give a bit of a share price boost : We expect +12% revenue growth in Q2 Donkey Republic (DONKEY) will report Q2 on 17 August. We forecast revenues of DKK 54.5m in the seasonally important quarter, for 12% growth y-o-y, driven by a 4% increase in revenue/bike (to DKK 738) and a fleet size of 24.6k bikes, the latter up 8% y-o-y, with roll-outs in Germany beginning to show in the numbers. We forecast Q2 EBITDA of DKK 17.0m, a strong improvement from the DKK 11.3m in Q2'25. We remain at the top of guidance We continue to see DONKEY landing at the top end of its FY'26 guidance, as we expect revenues of DKK 193m (guidance DKK 179m-194m) and EBIT of DKK 8.6m (guidance DKK 1m-9m). However, note that a likely Germany-driven dilution in revenue/bike and higher associated costs from Q3e will likely make the y-o-y uplift less powerful in H2. With our EBIT estimates largely unchanged, DONKEY's recent debt-restructuring is the primary driver of our 15%/6% hike to '27e/'28e EPS

Wow what a turnover, so far 2.4 million. That's not an everyday occurrence. I wonder about the large turnover. What could be the reason for that?

Donkey is the first choice in Copenhagen! Just been on a 3-day tourist trip to Copenhagen. And of course, paid close attention to the locals' and tourists' choice of shared bikes. I have conducted a very unscientific study. And the conclusion is clear. And it's not because I'm Donkey-biased. But Donkey is simply seen more in the streetscape than their competitors. And that's because (I think) they offer both regular bikes and e-bikes. As the only provider. The others only have e-bikes in their portfolio. My ranking is as follows: Donkey Republic VOI Lime Bolt Dott Currently, there are far too many shared bikes in Copenhagen. It's actually a bit 'Wild West' about it. Most recently, VOI has added another 4.500 bikes to the market. I hope that politicians will soon get some legislation in place, so they will be able to regulate better. So the number of bikes comes down. That gives less competition and better economy per bike. Today it is such (as I understand it) that it requires a license/agreement to operate in Frederiksberg and the other municipalities. But not in Copenhagen municipality. But perhaps a change is on the way. The fact is (apparently) that the City Council in juni 2026 has asked the Ministry of Transport for legal authority to regulate the number of shared bikes and special parking zones. Crossing my fingers that it happens - I believe that Donkey will stand well in the allocation and in the competition - especially because they also offer regular bikes. 👉 Are there any 'locals' on Nordet who recognize the picture - and possibly have a view on the matter?
I agree. In Copenhagen I think the main competition for rental biked with locals is with the monthly lease system called Swapfiets. Bikes with a blue front tire that you rent one month at the time. I live outside Cepenhagen and always use Donkey when I need a bike in town. It always competes well with the metto pricewise and Copenhagen is great for cycling.
