·8.12.Breaking news: Contango ORE buys Dolly Varden. I haven't looked into the deal yet (share exchange ratio), but when I bought Dolly Varden, it was precisely in the hope/belief that they would be acquired. https://www.mining.com/contango-ore-agrees-812m-deal-to-buy-dolly-varden/·8.12.PS! See that there is an exchange ratio of 0.1652 After the transaction, the new company will be owned approximately 50/50 between old Dolly/Contango shareholders Today's market cap for Contango ~US$380M and for Dolly ~US$398M. In other words, isolated, the exchange is a small plus for Contango shareholders and a small minus for Dolly shareholders. The advantage of the transaction is that they can complement each other; Contango has the cash flow and production (gold), while Dolly adds large reserves at a low price. And old Dolly shareholders avoid later dilution for capital raising for mine development.·8.12.I expect there will be a significant upgrade of the silver reserves, at least that's what the CEO (Shawn Khunkhun) has said will come. Purely conversion-wise, there was nothing to cheer about, I could have bought Contango cheaper on the exchange. But you are still right. The advantage is that I suddenly end up with shares in a company I hadn't heard of before today, which I see is very low-priced, as you say :) So thank you, and I hope we have a good common path forward.
