I believe it could be a good opportunity to start looking at the stock as it is down by over 8 percent today and is trading near its annual low. Matas operates 264 Matas stores in Denmark and 228 Kicks stores in Sweden, Norway, and Finland. In addition, they operate some of their own beauty brands. The company was founded in 1949 and was listed on the stock exchange in 2013. Matas financials: During 2024/2025, they had a turnover of approximately 8.37 billion Danish kroner and an EBIT of 565 million Danish kroner. I estimate that for 2025/2026, they will have a turnover of approximately 7.5 billion Danish kroner and an EBIT of approximately 400 million Danish kroner. Matas on the stock market. The stock is listed in Copenhagen and, at the time of writing, on January 9th at 10:15 AM, stands at 107.80 Danish kroner. The market capitalization is 4.127 billion Danish kroner. At its highest during 2025 and 2026, the stock has been over 155 kroner and is currently trading at its annual low. The dividend is 2 kroner per share, which means a dividend yield of 1.77 percent. Based on my estimated profit, the P/E will be just under 11. My comment: In my eyes, Matas has a similar position to Nordnet in the Nordics. Through Kicks, they are present in Norway, Sweden, and Finland, and through Matas, they are present in Denmark. A stronger private economy in the Nordics should benefit Matas. And lower interest rates and lower inflation should also be positive. I am attracted to the stock!! In the comments, you will find a link to the company's website.
