- 27.8. · Muokattu·What's happening in Q2 - is the company close to running out of cash? Solid cash balance (72 million NOK) has evaporated through Q2 to 6 million NOK - without any comment in the report. The bottom line seems to have fallen from a Q1 profit to a large deficit, but that is due to the write-up of biomass in the previous quarter. Labor costs are down 30% in the quarter, which seems strange.8.9. · Muokattu·The largest owner, Kontrari (a solid company), is owned by the Teigen family, and has not investigated whether they are behind other "main shareholders".
- 9.7.9.7.Nordic Halibut AS - Operational update Q2 2025 i dag kl. 14:52 ∙ Oslo Børs Averøy, Norway, 9 July 2025 Nordic Halibut AS ("NOHAL" or "the Company") reports that the positive trend in sales prices continued throughout the second quarter of 2025, driven by sustained strong demand and a growing willingness among customers to pay for premium-quality farmed halibut. In Q2 2025, the Company achieved an average sales price of NOK 170 per kilo HOG, representing an 11% YoY increase. The Company recorded an increase in average harvest weights, reaching 4.3 kg HOG compared to 4.1 kg in Q2 2024. Due to the planned harvesting of smaller-sized fish during the quarter, the average harvest weight was lower than the 5.6 kg HOG reported in Q1 2025. The Company anticipates higher average harvest weights in the second half of 2025. Sales revenue for Q2 2025 totaled NOK 32 million, with sales volumes of 191 tonnes HOG, consisting of 176 tons fresh on ice and 15 tons of value-added products (VAP). This represents a 53% increase in volume compared to the same period in 2024. Through the strategic agreement with Pure Norwegian Seafood AS (PNS), NOHAL is taking the final step toward full control of its entire value chain-from genetics through harvesting, processing, and value-added production-ensuring optimal quality and operational efficiency. During the quarter, the Company initiated preparations for value-added production by conducting market testing of sample products. Biomass performance remained strong, with a net biomass growth of 4% during the quarter compared to Q1 2025. Including the harvested biomass, total production at sea for the quarter represented a biomass increase of 15.4%. Construction of the Tingvoll facility, which commenced in Q1 2025, progressed according to plan during Q2 2025. The facility is expected to be fully operational by 2027 and will be instrumental in supporting Nordic Halibut's scale-up plan, targeting an annual production of 10,350 tonnes HOG by 2031.
- 28.5.·Lovely Q1. Are there any incentives for dividends, or where on the horizon can one expect them? Do you expect there to be trial/test operation of the Torjulvågen facility before full operational operation and do you expect there to be a test operation date as well?28.5.·Nordic Halibut appeals to me, it has common features with Stolt-Nielsen's facilities (Stolt Sea Farm). Halibut, turbot and sole are in the same family and SSF has a long history.
- 12.3.·Today's announcement is positive for NOHAL (if you think a few years ahead, and you should) ;)14.3. · Muokattu·The interesting thing will be whether the company manages to recover part or all of the amount (they need the money). Why subscribe to a rep issue when the company is trading at the same price?14.3.·My comment was about the announcement 12.3, the agreement regarding NPS. Regarding the re-issue, I agree, if you want to have more shares, you should of course be careful to buy if/when it becomes cheaper than the issue price. I recently did that in another stock (Endur), and the re-issue was also canceled there.
- 3.2.·"Nordic Halibut sources its fish feed from several different suppliers, but an important supplier for them is Skretting, which is a leading player in fish feed. Skretting is part of the Nutreco group and offers specially adapted feed for fish farming, including for species such as halibut." -Chat Gpt. Meanwhile, this is the situation in Canada: Atlantic Sapphire shares fall more than 10 percent after the company warned that US tariffs on Canadian goods could affect feed costs "significantly." The company mainly gets its fish feed from Skretting's factories in Canada, and the US will impose a 25 percent tariff on imports from there.
