- ·16.10.Why does it fall?·19.10.Absolutely not Trump and China. There is risk off in all the sectors that have gone so far. Absolutely all of them. Rolling into, cash flow strong companies.·20.10. · MuokattuThe risk lies more in the enormous prices in them and not in factors that do not affect the sector. It is profit taking by larger players who want to preserve capital. For most people, it is not us small investors who move these shares up or down, we account for only 1/5 of the turnover. Institutions, hedge funds and other large players account for the rest. A large investor has a number 1 policy: preserve capital first and foremost. That is why there are more sellers than buyers. They secure profit after several years of enormous income. What is so strange about that? The shares have reached a level where you will see enormous dizzying fluctuations because it is so stretched. They know this better than anyone else and have therefore preserved their investments in cash. This is completely normal. You can blame this and that, but sometimes you should maybe stick your finger in the ground and see that this might be a risk should things be stretched. But what's wrong with that, it's both healthy, structurally good for the sector that it gives back so that new investors can come in. Then you have traders who also see their average to take off (often the same companies) their shorter and swing trades. Why wouldn't they? They are in huge profits. I do the same myself should things be stretched. This is also related to market structure and volatility, positioning of both options and other flows that happen in the market. Today, with stock buying and selling it is a small part, where derivatives such as options, other certificates and leveraged ETFs have made up a much larger part of the volume than regular stock purchases by long-term holders. So you have many forces, in what I call a mechanical market that due to market internals such as volatility, spread etc. makes actions. These are short-term mechanical events that are enormous. That is what moves a stock up or down daily, the same forces that took these stocks into the clouds have the capability to do it the other way too. It's kind of funny to see how little people know about what's going on under the skin. As an option / derivative trader for 15 years now, I have a completely different perspective on what actually moves a stock. Long term, fundamental, short term there are completely different forces at play
