·19 t sittenAs far as I understand, PayPal is mistakenly seen as a value-case based on the premise that its various components (read Waymo etc.) could relatively easily be integrated into a more modern ecosystem like that known from Apple and the rest of the gang. However, it has turned out that not even 2-3 CEOs have succeeded with this yet. One should therefore ask oneself whether it will ever be solved. Otherwise, acquisition is the only option, but that's also a mess if the price is skewed.

I am long-term. From that perspective, the stock is cheap if they don't lose earning power. Buybacks will drive up dividends over time. Short-term, it might be better to wait, but stripe could just as well come with a higher bid soon. I believe, however, they have realized that even a higher bid would unlikely be accepted. I believe the company has the potential to return to growth in the future. Then the valuation multiple is far too low. The stock could very well stand at 100$ if growth returns. I would advise against trading it. Pure gambling regardless of direction. What is the thesis? Sit and hope for a new bid? Or hope that a company with strong cash flow would tank significantly due to a rejected bid that the owners deem to be far too low?- ·2 päivää sittenMaybe it's not over yet. They withdrew because PayPal wanted much more. Now they have shown PayPal that when they withdraw, the stock falls back. Hope they resume negotiations within 4 weeks.
- ·2 päivää sitten · MuokattuI've been lucky with the Paypal stock. I bought a lot of shares in the mid-40s (USD), just before the upturn, because I liked the numbers. Apparently, Stripe and Advent liked them too. After that, I expected Paypal to decline the takeover bid from Stripe and Advent, which would make the stock dip again, allowing me to buy back in. I sold at over 61 USD. The price is dipping again now, following Paypal's rejection of the takeover bid. I'm waiting for it to dip further, so I can buy back in low. I'm starting to learn a bit from this stock game. It's damn fun. Or maybe I was just lucky. I'm new here in the stock world.
