I see couple of risks, 1) the offer is outright rejected as being too low and the price may fall back to <50. 2) the offer stays on in which case this turns into arbitrage position with upside capped at 60$, and the opportunity cost makes the holding unattractive. If the offer is rejected, there could of course be a revised offer closer to 70, but the probability weighted value over the scenarios seems to settle around the current price. I was hoping for repricing towards 75$ that I calculated closer to fair value, but given the situation, I think I must consider realizing my small gains around here and re-allocate capital elsewhere, or re-enter if 1) happens.
I am waiting without selling anything right now. My own assessment is that it won't go lower than 50, if everything goes wrong. On the other hand, I hope this was just the first bid, and I believe in a bid around 70 in the second round.- ·15.7.It can only be right that there is a bid of 60.5$, so the question now is whether PayPal will sell at that price. I also believe the 2 monsters (Stripe & Advent), they are ready to offer up to 70. So my guess is it ends up between 64-70. 60.5 is the first bid. I wonder whether there could even be a competing offer from someone like google / apple if they wanted to expand in this direction for some reason, it would be a pocket change for them, just rebrand it as ai-pal and watch the hype take over.
