For several months, I have maintained and stood firm that many analysts probably underestimated the commercial potential for GTA 6 - now analysts must be left with red faces. Even before there was concrete information about the game, I believed that the expected sales figures and forecasts were far too low, and now it seems I was right. Now, the latest reports indicate that interest in GTA 6 is enormous or just the word: GIGANTIC. According to the information circulating, the game has already generated over 3 billion dollars in pre-orders and is approaching 40 million copies sold, even before the official launch on November 19. If these figures prove to be correct, which I 100% believe, we are facing the biggest game release in history – and the game has not even been released yet. Where is YOUR data on that? You say "it's just rumors", but analysts, investors, and media work with estimates all the time. If one were to wait for official sales figures, half of all discussion about the gaming industry could be shut down. I have never said that the figures are confirmed by Rockstar or Take-Two. I have said that there are estimates and analyses that point in that direction. That is a significant difference. Right now, your argument is basically: "I don't believe it, therefore it's wrong." That's not documentation. It's an opinion. If you believe that GTA 6 cannot sell anywhere near those numbers, then provide some figures, analyses, or sources that support that. Otherwise, you contribute nothing but "no, that's not true", and that's not exactly stronger than the estimates you criticize.
1 päivä sittenCrazy that it’s still down 7% YTD even after the preorders. I thought the stock would start running on the hype now, and that the real price move would come closer to release. But apparently not. Seems like all the hype might already be priced in, and if the game doesn’t meet these already insane expectations, the stock could come down pretty hard 🤔
