The fund has a passive investment strategy, which involves copying the composition and yield of the OBX index as closely as possible. The fund managers thus do not attempt to outperform the OBX index.
To ensure that the fund portfolio reflects the composition of the OBX index, the fund invests in the equities included in the OBX index with roughly the same weightings as the equities have in the OBX index. The fund invests in the 25 largest shares listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

·30.3.Lovely day today, turnover up to 30 million. That's how we like it, a bit of volatility for both long and short. DNB closed the shop after several bought and sold their shares in bulk. When it swings, it's not so fun with the role as market maker, then it's just to withdraw or get burned. Many short sellers today, if bad news or people who want to take some profit, it's just to sell their shares at the bottom, they get bought.

It's a shame that DNB does not manage its ETF in a similar way. The market is there.·13.3.Those who don't trade daily should be careful with this one, better to trade xact norden. Uses Level 2 order book and can see how DNB's algorithms operate intraday for the OBX ETF. They buy and sell to themselves and snatch up what comes intraday. When the market becomes unstable and a lot of orders come from people, they close the shop completely. Those who want to exit then take anything on bid. If ATR is at 5, just place a ridiculously low bid and you'll get to buy.
·11.2.DnB does a terribly bad job of operating this ETF. Sometimes no selling price is quoted until long after opening hours. That might be why there is so little turnover. This is Norway's only ETF. They should operate it professionally and market it. There is a market for local ETFs.
