The stock that just goes and goes

I have a disproportionately large part of my portfolio in STB. Actually, maybe not so smart, but it has nevertheless served me incredibly well in recent years. I also still have great faith in STB as my "forever stock" in the years to come. Pension money and savings are flowing in, and capital-intensive products are being phased out as people die and no longer collect this type of pension. Nevertheless, I think it has gone up quickly lately. Imagine if we could get an extraordinary dividend in addition to the large share buybacks.

Looked a bit at the buyback program and effects. Market capitalization of Storebrand is quite high, approx 83 Mrd and with a buyback of 1 mrd it constitutes approx 1.2% and this year's dividend would have increased from 5.40 to 5.46. Not much, but here we again get the compound interest effect which gives increases every year. Good

It is completely wrong to calculate like that. If they had used 1 billion on dividends, it would have been almost kr 2.50 per share when there are 414 million outstanding shares. When they use 2 billion on buybacks in 2026, that corresponds to almost kr 5 in unpaid «dividend « per share. 2 billion in buybacks means there will be approximately 10 million fewer shares that will receive dividends for 2026. And so it continues year by year. In recent years, the dividend has increased by approximately 15% year by year. And that is mainly because stb has earned more year by year. If it continues with a 15% increase, the dividend next year will be approximately kr 6.2 per share. Buybacks will continue at least up to and including 2030, and then there will be approximately 370 million shares in the company. It was communicated at CMD last autumn that buybacks could also continue after 2030. With all both old and new pension money and savings increasingly flowing in, a lot must go wrong for this not to be a stock for the future, even if the journey over the last 3-4 years has been absolutely fantastic.

I entered at 73 and thought of selling at 100. Didn't sell and I'm happy about that now. Just sit tight and ride it out 🙏

I have personally bought and sold this several times since I started on Nordnet almost two years ago. There has been some profit in share count on each buy/sell. Now this constitutes 20% of my portfolio. And the profit is ticking in. Steadily and consistently 😃 I'm sitting tight now and I will do so for many years to come!

Invested this spring, 15% return with 50 000kr initial capital. What do the wise minds think about the price going forward? Will it hit a ceiling at 200kr, or is it now one should really invest money? This is one of the smaller banks, but therefore it has a growth potential that e.g. DNB is too big to have. It is also the bank that has had the most stable growth, and actually perhaps the best Norwegian stock I have found apart from Frontline. Thoughts?

But don't think of it as a bank. It is primarily a pension company (market leader in Norway), an asset management company (very large in Norway) and an insurance company. All 3 areas are growing strongly. The bank is small, and will never become large.

Do you think it will reach a ceiling of 200, or will it continue? I read an article that predicted a price of 180kr by the year 2030.
