The investment objective of the Fund is to seek to provide investors with a total return, taking into account both capital and income returns, which reflects the return of the S&P Developed BMI Select Aerospace & Defense 35/20 Capped Index. In order to achieve this investment objective, the investment policy of the Fund is to invest in a portfolio of equity securities that as far as possible and practicable consists of the component securities of the S&P Developed BMI Select Aerospace & Defense 35/20 Capped Index, the Fund’s Benchmark Index.

·17.10. · MuokattuThe problem with this defense ETF is that it is overweighted far too much on the American side. It is not the United States that is currently going to arm itself, it is Europe. And Europe will put everything they can into the European industry. Denmark has bought European air defense.... that probably says a little about it. Therefore, it is a "losing" ETF at least for the next year. My advice is to go for Maj invest even though it is expensive. Invest in Europe's defense yourself. It is cheap.
·19.10. · MuokattuMost countries in Europe buy more weapons from American companies than they do from European defense companies. In addition, most of the companies of this size in this ETF are established in the United States. And the United States has a larger defense budget than all the countries in Europe combined. So not diversifying towards the United States is just about ignorance on the part of investors. And there is nothing, absolutely nothing in this sector that can be defined as cheap. None of them have been for many years. Cheap must be senior to growth and value and not what the share price is, or where the share is compared to last week. Countries will buy what they can get delivered the fastest, where there is the best innovation and where there is political pressure from. And believe what you want, changing defense suppliers is not like changing socks. There is existing infrastructure, many years of training in systems, aircraft types that take many years to change.
