- ·1.9.It is a bit of a mystery to me how one cannot generate returns in the current political climate. Any explanation out there? You need to have a much longer horizon. All hope of a European rearmament has long been priced in. Now there must be delivery, production capacity must be built, and a political basis must be secured for even greater investments, among other things, in the entire drone and robotization wave that has started, which can create tensions, as one may very well have to choose between welfare cuts or tax increases to afford even more rearmament, if we don't soon get the economy going here in Europe. - ·4.1.Posted in several groups: The fact that European leaders have woken up to a couple of brutal facts, namely: 1) Europe is home alone. Uncle SAM wants a divorce, and it has to be now. No more justice nonsense and talk about old times - the strong have the right. 2) Trump has more in common with Putin and his way of thinking than with the democratic and rules-based order that the USA itself has otherwise been the driving force behind. That world is now his opponent. - Leads to a colossal rearmament need for Europe, unless one wants to be left as a submissive, wagging lamb's tail to "the big boys". Notably with European weapon systems, European technology, and European production. American-produced gear and material - which can be "remotely controlled" from the USA, must necessarily be replaced. The European arms industry faces enormous growth in the coming many, many years.
