I believe we can assume that most of the short sellers are sitting on a profit that is well up. When the price went up to 200 last year, the short sellers were left with. Subsequently, the short interest has gone up. I don't think we will get rid of all the short sellers anytime soon. We have to hope for some good news going forward that drives the price further up

Defense material is bought almost exclusively by states, which tend to acquire from established manufacturers, and those subcontractors who are already "part of the major players' product range" will continue to see increased production going forward. Those who are long-term in their stock holdings will not be affected by either short selling or temporary economic downturns in the curve. We have not had a more troubled Western world since WW2, so defense material will be purchased for at least 10 more years to an increased extent.
