This ETF's largest holdings are companies that have never made any money. Everything is based on potential future profits, and when it comes to quantum computers, that future is likely quite far off. A very volatile price is expected going forward.

You are probably right that significant price fluctuations can be expected on the long road towards functioning quantum computers – if they ever see the light of day. But it is not true that no company has ever made money. Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet and several others have previously made a fortune, and some of them still do. In fact, all of the first 12 largest on the investment list have given double-digit returns this year.

Because of the spread this is a better product than wisdom tree offering despite it being 0.05% cheaper on the fee. If you don’t want to bet on a single stock and would like to track this sector I think this is a good product.
