It can be debated whether it is Fair that the Cadeler share falls because some investors might have anticipated an early dividend stream, which instead has been used for investments. But isn't the argument a bit short-sighted and impatient, because the investments will probably eventually just result in more business and higher earnings in the long run? However, a bit further out in the DCF model! Management is probably just in the process of future-proofing the business in the long term? Since when has this kind of due diligence become unfashionable? --and by the way, I think that the great financial report from Danish Vestas today (+19.66%) in some good way blows some positivism into the Offshore Wind Turbine sector.....

Someone who has been around for many years claims that 95% of all trading is done by computers. This is controlled by the big guys and the criteria set by them. But retail (people like us) can of course also influence the market if enough people go the same way, but it's probably the big money that controls most of it. Example: When the oil price rises, oil-related stocks also rise. If the oil price goes down, the opposite happens. This is short-term and doesn't necessarily mean much in the long run as the price goes up and down all the time. But it creates dynamism in the market, and that's how the stock market seems to work. Cadeler builds for the future but it can affect the economy short-term, something we possibly see in the share price now, even though it's very early to conclude.

Wonder how much of today's drop is due to institutions believing that menck was a bad buy, and how many are rotating out because it might seem that dividend payment could have a slightly longer outlook, which perhaps doesn't fit their strategy or the fund's goals?

Now I am by no means an expert on the foundation of wind turbines. But on the M&A call, analysts inquired about the technology. And it turns out that there are several other methods than the one the company Cadeler has acquired possesses. Menck exclusively makes pile hammers, but there are apparently other technologies such as drilling, vibrating and several others which Menck has no experience with and does not have available. One therefore commits to a specific technology with a very large amount. And as Harries writes, dividends are now even further away.

Vestas forecasts higher activity and better margins than expected! It is clear that the need for wind power in Europe is enormous going forward. Can also point out that even the USA, with Trump in charge, is now investing significantly in renewable energy! From Finansavisen: "Trump wants a fossil boom – 90 percent of new power will be green" When oil rises, the service industry ends up doing well. During a gold rush, it's the equipment suppliers who benefit. When an industry is doing well, suppliers and service businesses benefit. In the wind industry, Cadeler will benefit enormously. Currently priced at P/E 8-10 on 2026 figures and P/E 4-5 on 2027 figures… Dividends and buybacks will eventually flow to us shareholders, at the same time I expect a quick share price doubling during 26/27. EPS 1-1.1 eur in 2027 can give a fair value of 120kr + per share in 2027

Is it possible that the price is lowered because the short sellers are selling aggressively now? That can surely lower the price? Or am I completely wrong?

The last months have been hard on the Cadeler share, and presumably the share is being pressed in price to prepare for price increases later, because the share price is far too low compared to the outlook for earnings and increased demand for offshore wind turbines.
