Is there any hope for this to get near 59 again, which I paid, or must I swallow the loss and regret my stupidity? Any suggestions for a realistic price target within 1 year?

I believe that a resolution is awaited in Iran, which will result in a short-term fall due to the keyword "peace". In the long term, the military buildup will be continuous, so yes - put on the long-term glasses.

You absolutely have good points there, yes, that Haneft has several legs to stand on in that sense. But still, I find it strange how much it's going down now, slowly in these war times. There must be significant rearmament in defense going forward for several countries, I can't imagine otherwise. That must lead to a good number of various contracts being awarded going forward regarding defense.

Unless you put all your savings into this maybe just sit on your hands and wait it out? It doesn't require much that this etf peaks high again when the next conflict arises

In a few years, Trump, Putin, Netanyahu will be 6 feet under. A bunch of old school wannabe kings. Furthermore, a picture emerges that today's wars are extremely difficult to win and extremely expensive, even for nations that are large and superior on paper. (Afghanistan, Ukraine, Iran) Moreover, energy will become less and less of an incentive to start wars. However, there will probably be plenty of push for research and production of war drones, robots and similar things in the coming decades, no matter how peaceful those decades become. It is not a straightforward industry to invest in in the long term.
