The Fund’s investment objective is to replicate the price and the performance, before fees and expenses, of an index that provides exposure to companies involved in uranium mining and distribution or in projects related to the construction, engineering and maintenance of nuclear power facilities and nuclear reactors, equipment and technology or services to the nuclear power industry development and commercialization of nuclear fusion technology or molten salt nuclear reactor research as well as exchange-listed funds that track the spot price of uranium or invest in physical uranium.

Although both are energy resources, their prices are governed by fundamentally different market dynamics. Supply and demand (Oil): The oil price is very sensitive to current events, including geopolitical tensions, changes in production from OPEC countries, and global economic conditions. Market differences (Uranium): The uranium market is smaller, more closed, and primarily governed by long-term contracts between mine producers and nuclear power plants. The uranium price is influenced more by political decisions on nuclear power, safety approvals, and mining production capacity than by the daily oil market. Context: During periods of general commodity optimism, the two prices may well rise simultaneously, but they rarely move in sync. A high oil price does not automatically make uranium more expensive, as they are used for different purposes (transport/heating vs. electricity production).
