14.7.I'm not here to play down anything or anyone, I was kind of excited to buy a few hundred shares of YCHP, but after studying this, it seems that since inception NAV has decayed with almost 1:1 to paid dividends. So basically I could create my own Yieldmax-style etf by just withdrawing couple of hundred euros every month from my savings account and call it a distribution. I'm happy to be proven wrong.22.7. · MuokattuI’m by far not an expert, but I believe NAV is the combined value of ETF’s underlying assets, cash and open options. Price and NAV for this etf indeed seems to have risen, even after distributions, because the underlying semiconductor assets have soared. A really great start, congratulations for early adopters. If semi’s calm down or start dropping seriously at some point, the fund has to start eating it’s NAV i.e. giving you back your own money. I’m not taking part of this because I’m old school and don’t believe anything can sustainably distribute 40% - or even 20% - without eating it’s own head. But that doesn’t mean I’m right or that other people should do like me.
