Terranor reports an annualized value of SEK 384m, compared to SEK 260m (314m inflation-adjusted), an increase of 22%. The contract won in Väsby is one of the most trafficked areas and most important contracts in Sweden. DNB Carnegie reports that this contract has a historically high proportion of swellings and extra work of at least 70-80% of base value, compared to usually 20-50%. And here there is even more upside considering increased maintenance budget from the Swedes. In addition, they have won several smaller municipal contracts and smaller projects in the last period which together should imply even more upside on the top line in Sweden. DNB reported, before it became known that they had won the last contract, that they would be well above their target of 8% organic growth by the outcome of this tender season. On the margin side, it has overall been good. If one compares inflation-adjusted pricing on the new contracts against what they are now, there is an average weighted increase of 18% for the base value, in addition there is more extra work, which together should imply better margins. The tender season in Sweden has been the trigger that has had the most upside and downside risk, and all in all it has gone very well. Neutral on pricing and positive on volume. The contract is valued at ~SEK53m per year. The win came as a surprise to us, as we had not expected Terranor to secure the contract given PEAB’s historically strong position in the region. We are encouraged by Terranor’s ability to increase market share. Terranor wins South-East Värmland from Peab. Terranor announced it has secured a road O&M contract in South-East Värmland. The contract has an estimated annual value of SEK53m over four years with a possible extension of two years, a 16% increase versus the existing contract. In addition, the region is largely centred around the E18 and E45 motorways, key transport corridors for heavy traffic to northern Sweden and Norway. We expect these roads to benefit from increased government spending on road maintenance. Wins the contract from PEAB. Terranor won the contract from PEAB, which had operated it since 2017. The Värmland region has historically been a PEAB stronghold. Notably, the award process took 45 days, versus the typical ~2 weeks, as the lowest bidder did not pass Trafikverket’s quality control.
