- ·2 päivää sittenSiemensEnergy is growing in the onshore wind turbine market in the USA, the projects are approved by individual states and NOT by him, the buffoon they have voted in as president. There have been many breaking news reports that wind turbine projects have stopped in the USA, one often forgets in the media to tell the whole story.
- ·3 päivää sittenExperts: Europe needs far more data centers Europe – and Germany in particular – must invest significantly more in data centers to avoid falling behind in the race for artificial intelligence. This is concluded by the Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation (EFI) in its annual report, which was handed over to Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) in Berlin. The Commission recommends that the EU aims to account for 10–15 percent of the world's data capacity within five years to keep pace with global development. Although investments in data centers in Germany reached a record level in 2025, they are still low compared to the rest of the world. The USA is clearly in the lead and has about six times as much data capacity as China, while European countries lag far behind both. To succeed, the experts believe that Germany must: * simplify and accelerate approval processes for data centers * SIGNIFICANTLY EXPAND THE ENERGY GRID Digital sovereignty as key The report emphasizes that digital sovereignty is crucial for both Germany and the EU, because technological dependencies affect political, economic, and social scope for action. Strong research – weak implementation Germany and Europe have strong research environments and good early results in the use of artificial intelligence. Nevertheless, they clearly lag behind the USA and China when it comes to: * development of AI models * commercial use of AI in value creation EFI was established in 2006 to advise on how Germany can strengthen its research and innovation policy. The goal is to ensure that innovative products and services contribute to economic growth, high income, and a better quality of life. As the commission itself formulates it: For a highly developed country without large natural resources, education and technology are irreplaceable. https://live.deutsche-boerse.com/nachrichten/Experten-Europa-braucht-deutlich-mehr-Rechenzentren-fb6e602e-ec52-46dc-a4f0-4a3906d465e3
- ·3 päivää sittenSiemens Energy with record orders – gas business running at full capacity Siemens Energy continues to benefit from the strong demand for electricity. In the first quarter (as of the end of December), revenue increased by 12.8 percent on a comparable basis to just under 9.7 billion euro, the company announced on Wednesday in Munich. The figures are adjusted for currency and portfolio effects. Growth was once again driven by the gas turbine business and network technology. Order intake was also very strong. It increased by over a third to 17.6 billion euro – a new record level. The USA accounted for the largest part of the growth. The main driver was the gas turbine business, which increased order intake by more than 80 percent to 8.75 billion euro in the quarter. Network technology received around 20 percent more orders. In total, Siemens Energy now has a record-high order backlog of 146 billion euro. The adjusted operating result rose from 481 million to 1.16 billion euro, and the margin increased by 6.6 percentage points to 12 percent. This was significantly better than analysts had expected and is above the company's annual forecast of 9–11 percent. As expected, the main contribution came from the gas and grid business. In addition, wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa, which has struggled for several years, significantly reduced its losses. As a result, Siemens Energy almost tripled its profit to 746 million euro. “The start of the fiscal year has been very successful for us. The sustained strong demand for gas turbines and network technology contributes significantly to the positive development. We also see signs of a slight improvement in the wind industry,” stated CEO Christian Bruch. The company maintains its full-year forecast. https://live.deutsche-boerse.com/nachrichten/Siemens-Energy-mit-Rekordauftraegen---Gasgeschaeft-brummt-35367bab-7746-4f5b-9d94-01daf5ed260b
