Another positive news: The news is about the biotechnology company Plus Therapeutics (Nasdaq: PSTV) and their subsidiary CNSide Diagnostics, which has entered into a new regional agreement with the health insurance company Medical Mutual. Key points of the news: New coverage in the USA: The agreement came into effect on July 1, 2026, and provides health insurance coverage for approximately 1.2 million people in the states of Ohio and Kentucky. What is covered? The agreement covers the company's CNSide® test (Cerebrospinal Fluid Tumor Cell Enumeration Assay). It is a specialized laboratory test of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) used to detect, quantify, and monitor cancer cells that have spread to the central nervous system (leptomeningeal metastases). Significant milestone: With this agreement, the CNSide test reaches a total contractual coverage of approximately 127 million people in the USA. Behind the technology and the company: The test enables doctors to diagnose faster and more accurately, tailor treatments, and monitor how cancer patients (especially with spread from breast cancer, lung cancer, or melanoma) respond to ongoing therapy. The agreement with Medical Mutual is another step in Plus Therapeutics' commercial rollout of CNSide in 2026, where they have secured agreements with both regional and national insurance companies (including Elevance Health, Blue Shield of California, and Highmark) during the year. https://finance.yahoo.com/healthcare/articles/plus-therapeutics-secures-regional-coverage-113000620.html 🤝🙏

https://finance.yahoo.com/healthcare/articles/plus-therapeutics-highlights-nccn-cns-113000234.html Here's what the news means for you as an investor, broken down into the most critical points: 1. It removes the "bottleneck" for doctors The biggest problem for many biotech and diagnostics companies is not inventing a good product, but getting doctors to actually use it. Doctors slavishly follow clinical guidelines (like NCCN). Before: Doctors might have tested cerebrospinal fluid sporadically or given up because the old method was too uncertain. Now: NCCN guidelines now directly dictate that systematic testing should be done every 4 to 8 weeks during treatment. This creates a completely natural, recurring need for testing. 2. Enormous momentum for "Reimbursement" (Refusion) To make money from a medical test in the USA, insurance companies must pay for it. They typically refuse to pay if a test is not backed by official guidelines or solid data. The fact that NCCN now recommends more frequent testing makes it much easier for Plus Therapeutics to convince the remaining American insurance companies to cover CNSide. This directly supports their 2026 goal of reaching 150 million covered lives in the USA. 3. "The Razor and Blade" business model The most attractive thing about CNSide is that it is not a "one-and-done" test. Since the guidelines now recommend testing every 4-8 weeks to monitor if the treatment works, CNSide becomes a continuous revenue stream per patient. More tests per patient mean higher and more predictable revenue (recurring revenue) for the company. In short: The news significantly reduces clinical risk and paves the way for commercial growth in 2026. 🤝🤞

https://finance.yahoo.com/healthcare/articles/plus-therapeutics-provides-mid-business-113000239.html 1. Name change and new stock ticker (Rebranding) The company is completely changing its identity to better reflect its focus on central nervous system cancer (brain and spinal cord). New name: Plus Therapeutics changes its name to Cerenome. New ticker symbol: On the Nasdaq exchange, their symbol changes from PSTV to CNSY. When: The change takes effect on August 3, 2026. As a shareholder, no action is required; it happens automatically. 2. Status of cancer drug (REYOBIQ™) Their primary drug candidate, REYOBIQ, is progressing as planned in clinical trials: Brain tumors (Glioblastoma): The company has almost completed enrollment for its Phase 2 study (31 out of 34 patients are enrolled) and expects to hold an important status meeting with the US health authorities (FDA) afterwards to move closer to final approval. Pediatric cancer: They have received approvals to start a new study against pediatric brain cancer, where the first patients are expected to receive treatment in the third quarter of 2026. Production: The scaling up of production for commercial use is on schedule. 3. Commercial progress for test platform (CNSide®) Their diagnostic platform, CNSide (an advanced cerebrospinal fluid test to detect cancer spread), shows good commercial progress. The company has recently secured important coverage agreements with major US health insurers (including Elevance Health, Blue Shield of California, and Medicare approval), which makes it much easier to get the test to patients and secure revenue.

Just ran the summary of PSTV’’s update through CHAT, this was the answer: My overall conclusion I actually think this was a good update. Not fantastic – but clearly better than average for a small biotech company. There isn't a “wow” news that alone can send the stock up 100 %. On the other hand, there are many small advancements, and that's often how a strong company develops. ⭐ The best in the entire announcement 1. CNSide is starting to look like a real business ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think this is the biggest news. They state: * 232 tests performed this year * 72 tests in June alone * expect a run rate of 1,250 tests per year by the end of 2026 That tells me two things: 👉 Hospitals are actually using the test. 👉 Growth is accelerating. If June was a record month, that's exactly what I hoped to see. ⸻ 2. 126 million covered Americans That's really impressive. At the start of the year, they had about 67 million. Now they have: * United * Humana * Highmark * Blue Shield California * Elevance …and they are aiming for 150 million. This means that doctors can increasingly order the test without patients having to pay themselves. That is enormously important. ⸻ 3. Medicare This might be overlooked by the market. From July 1st, their special PLA code comes into effect. Now primarily missing: * pricing * final Medicare coverage It's a big step towards a more stable business. ⸻ REYOBIQ ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ I also thought that part was positive. The most important thing: GBM: 31 out of 34 patients are now included. It's almost finished. This means they can soon get the data needed for the next meeting with the FDA. LM: They only expect 12-18 patients to find the optimal dose. They have approximately one third included. It's faster than many had feared. ⸻ The pediatric study It probably starts in Q3. That gets another program underway. The market likes that. ⸻ AI Here I was a bit more reserved. I still think it sounds exciting… …but it's still mostly a vision. I'll only get really excited when they show: * concrete products * concrete collaborations * concrete revenues So the AI part is a plus for me, but not something I attach great value to yet. ⸻ Name change That surprised me. Cerenome (CNSY) I actually think it could be smart. Why? “Plus Therapeutics” …sounds like another biotech company. “Cerenome” …sounds more like a unified platform for: * diagnostics * treatment * data That actually fits better with what they are becoming. ⸻ Something that made me happy ❤️ There was no change in their plans. They confirm their entire 2026-guidance. That usually means management still feels they are on track. ⸻ The only thing I missed I had hoped for a few more numbers. For example: * revenue from CNSide * number of new customers * how many tests they expect per hospital That will probably only come with the next financial report. ⸻ My assessment If I were to give a grade: 🟢 CNSide: 9.5/10 🟢 REYOBIQ: 8.5/10 🟡 AI: 6/10 🟢 Strategy: 9/10 Overall: 8.8/10 That's actually higher than I had expected. ⸻ The most important thing now will be… …how Wall Street reads it. Some investors will say: “No big news.” Others will say: “Wow... they are actually building a real business.” I lean most towards the latter interpretation. ❤️ And then I want to say one thing to you. I think you found PSTV at a good time. Not because I know if the stock will rise tomorrow or next week – nobody does. But because the company seems to be moving from being a classic “research project” to also becoming a business with commercial revenues through CNSide. If that development continues while REYOBIQ delivers good data, the two business areas can start to support each other. That doesn't mean the risk is gone – there are still clinical, regulatory, and financial risks – but the case has, in my opinion, become broader than a year ago.

If that development continues while REYOBIQ delivers good data, the two business areas can start to support each other. That doesn't mean the risk is gone – there are still clinical, regulatory, and financial risks – but the case has, in my opinion, become broader than a year ago.
