I see we are 35 owners here on Nordnet. What is the most important reason that you are invested in this stock?
I really like Ackman and have strong belief in him long term. My own investment philosophy really aligns with his, so I’m more than happy to take part in PS. Also based on a relatively narrow study, the NAV per stock is relatively cheap since the IPO.

What do you think about buying this? I'm a big fan of Ackman.

It's largely Bill Ackman that one follows. It's Brockfield, Amazon, Uber, Howard Hughes holdings, Microsoft, Meta and Resturant brands. Seven companies of significance. Approx: 20% NAV discount right now so if one likes the companies it's interesting but primarily it's if one trusts Bill. It's an investment company and 2% per year goes to the parent company in London. Which one is best to own I don't know but I'm going with USA only. It should be a no brainer right now given the NAV discount. Check holdings Pershing Square USA, there you'll find the portfolio. No rocket. But the philosophy is to beat Nasdaq with few holdings.

Here's a bit about Bill Ackman's Pershing Square, taken a bit from ChatGTP, as I wanted to compare PS and BN: 1. Pershing Square vs. S&P 500: Since 2004, Bill Ackman has delivered approx. 15–16% annually vs. approx. ~10% for S&P 500 👉 So clear outperformance over a very long time. But… the last years are more mixed: 5 years: ~63–74% total (depending on NAV vs. share price) Has in periods underperformed broad growth indices/S&P 500 The new fund (PSUS) had a weak stock market debut (-18%) 👉 Translated: Long term: strong Short/medium term: more unstable and dependent on timing. 2. Pershing Square vs. Brookfield Corporation: They are actually completely different investment types: Pershing Square Hedge fund / concentrated portfolio (typically 10–15 stocks) Highly dependent on Ackman's stock picks Can outperform – but also fail big (e.g. Valeant historically) Somewhat resembles a mini-Berkshire Hathaway strategy. Brookfield Corporation Real assets + asset management (infrastructure, real estate, energy) Very diversified cash flow Expected: ~20–25% growth in earnings/cash flow Often trades at a discount to intrinsic value 👉 Translated: Brookfield = “compounder” / stabil machine Pershing = active high-conviction bet. 3. Bottom line Pershing Square has historically beaten the market, but: not consistent in more recent periods Brookfield is more stabilog predictable They are not direct substitutes.

I'm going to get Pershing Square, but since I own Brookfield which they also own, my position in Pershing Square will be significantly smaller, but Pershing Square has beaten the market several times. One of the reasons I hold Brookfield is because it's a HUGE asset manager, and they really know what they're doing. Bill Ackman is an extremely skilled investor and really knows his stuff. Had you invested $10,000 dollars 22 years ago, in S&P500 you would have had $90,000 dollars, but had you invested them in Pershing Square USA you would have had $460,000 dollars, he states today to TheStreet.

Is PS a smart investment? Bill A. promises a lot of good in return. See that 2 people so far have invested. What do you think?

    BN, or just Brookfield Corporation
