21.10.21.10.Shares in OVH Groupe plunged after the company issued a weaker-than-expected outlook and said its chief executive would leave one year into the job, with its founder retaking the reins in the dual role of chair and CEO. Shares in the French cloud-computing company dropped 14% in morning trade Tuesday, but were still up 9.9% since the start of the year. The company, also known as OVHcloud, said Tuesday that it decided to end the separation of the chair and CEO roles and to appoint founder Octave Klaba to both. This will result in the departure of Benjamin Revcolevschi, who was appointed as CEO in October last year, it said. The change at the top came as OVHcloud reported revenue for the quarter to the end of August of 276.7 million euros ($322.1 million), up 7.5% on a like-for-like basis. Analysts had forecast quarterly revenue at 277.6 million euros with like-for-like growth of 8.5%, according to consensus estimates compiled by Visible Alpha. The company reported a swing to a net profit of 400,000 euros for the year as a whole compared with a loss of 10.3 million euros the year prior. For the year ending in August 2026, OVHcloud forecast organic revenue growth of between 5% and 7% and an adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization margin higher than that of fiscal 2025, which stood at 40.4%. Analysts expected fiscal 2026 organic growth at 9.7%, according to a Visible Alpha consensus. The company's disappointing results and outlook for the year ahead triggered a comeback of its founder as CEO with the aims of restoring growth, Stifel's Antoine Lebourgeois wrote in a note to clients.
