After all, the company holds valuable contracts. Here's what "my friend" ChatGPT calculates for me; Yes 😄 We can calculate it quite simply: OMC received USD 50m in cash, and 10 % had already been paid on the eight newbuild contracts: * 4 NTS contracts: USD 47.2m * 4 CIMC contracts: USD 49.9m Total cash + paid on contracts: 50 + 47.2 + 49.9 = USD 147.1m Divided by 61,923,808 shares/NDRs, it becomes: USD 147.1m / 61.924m = USD 2.375 per share With today's USD/NOK around 9.33, that corresponds to approximately NOK 22.15 per OMC share. So just cash + already paid shipyard installments thus amounts to approximately 22 kroner per share, before adding any value above cost price for the newbuild contracts themselves. That's a quite interesting floor to keep in mind if OMC trades in the mid-20s 😄
Not so strange that so many shares were sold here today. 1.5 pct of the shares traded on the first day. No shares were locked in and those who primarily want the dividends from Bruton can now, for example, sell OMC to switch over to Bruton before it rises even more. I don't really have a clue (but Trøim did as Kahlim mentions regarding financing), apart from a bit on ship valuations. Given how the share price has developed today, I have chosen to reduce a bit in Bruton, and increase in OMC. Right or wrong. I'm going to the pub anyway! The real value increase (for both companies) for us who held Bruton before the demerger is probably what is over 67.80 NOK (last trading day Bruton) overall. So, given for example today's closing price of 46 (Bruton) + 26 (OMC), that's probably around 72. + 4.20 kroner per share since 24.08 is also money! Have a good weekend! 🙂🍻
