13.10.·Now I'm obviously a bit slow.. Because I don't get this.. Enough so that the price would drop when talking about a new share issue to, among other things, pay back loans... But the crash after that news came was more than the dilution... And now the price has crashed below the subscription price for new shares... I can almost believe that there are robots that trade down the price so that fewer people will use the subscription options and thus reduce new money coming into the company. The only ones who win from these are those who buy and sell on ups and downs in the price. The company doesn't get as much money as it needed, and is soon forced to have a new share issue that is painted in black headlines and in the end the big owners give up and buy the company off the stock exchange for a pittance and look for financiers elsewhere. It seems like there are many who don't understand that as a shareholder you are a part owner in a company and that there is a certain ownership responsibility when you have a company, for example paying your expenses.. And if the company doesn't have liquid funds, it's up to the owners to provide them. And in this case it was about paying off loans, which means you don't have to pay interest...
16.10.·I don't think many people are shareholders to make sure the company has capital to cover its expenses. Most people want returns from being a shareholder, not costs. The beauty of startups is that you can help finance the operations over time while you wait to make your own money.
