I wonder if we will see any deep-sea port decided before DFS is ready?? It must be difficult for someone to invest a huge amount of money without being reasonably sure that the project will happen?? They then risk being left with a huge port but no customers, because surely only Mlp will use the port??

Germany is trying to pressure the USA with its dependence on potash, a bit stupid for them that a new company from Africa is coming that will outcompete almost everyone on price☺https://www.mining.com/web/germany-sees-us-as-vulnerable-to-squeeze-on-potash-supplies/

Farhad: Back to the first question. So, exactly where we stand. Currently, we plan to produce about 800,000 tons of potash initially. That corresponds to a little over 1% of global production at this time. But the project size allows us to produce much more. We can go up to 2, 3, 4 million tons. We are looking at that very closely during the feasibility study we are currently conducting. In other words, in the coming years, we will easily be able to become one of the major—if not the largest, one of the largest potash producers in the world. So that is very important. Currently, the total market is about 75 million tons per year. So even if we start with 800,000 tons or one million tons, as I said, that will be about 1% of global production. A little bit over 1%. And we think that is a very good start to show how it works. It will be very profitable because our cost base is very low. But the crucial point here is to show that we can scale this up fairly quickly, and to do that, it's not just about the project itself. The deposit is very large. As I said, we can also produce on a very large scale, but it's also about having this port capacity right next door so we can actually ship as much as we want. As you saw on the map, we can go in any direction. Where we will ultimately go—we are of course in talks with various groups at this stage. It could be a Western-oriented trade, it could be the East, specifically China. So we develop all our projects on a so-called dual-track basis. First, we want to make sure we can finance and build it ourselves, and on a parallel track, we also want to generate interest for potential mergers and acquisitions. And as Björn knows, we have sold most of our projects before they went into production. So here we are doing exactly the same thing. We are pursuing both strategies and are already seeing enormous interest on the strategic side, but we are also getting enormous support with financing. We are the only fertilizer company out there that has support from the US government. The US Development Finance Corporation, a US federal agency, has invested in Millennial Potash and those were grant funds for our feasibility study. But most importantly, they are also interested in financing the construction. So that is a very important thing everyone should know.
