·9 t sittenCbrain has halved – but why, really? I've looked a bit at Cbrain, because the drop seems drastic compared to what has actually happened. As I see it, it's not about the business having broken down – but more about expectations that have been adjusted downwards. There are especially three things that stand out: 1. They have downgraded several times → that hits confidence hard 2. License sales have fallen quite significantly (and that's typically where they earn well) 3. Projects are being pushed back because they work with public customers At the same time, they are moving more towards a subscription model. This provides more stability, but also less speed in growth in the short term. And when a stock has been priced as a growth case, it is quickly punished when growth disappoints. The interesting thing is actually that the margins are still high and the business seems quite solid My take: The market has probably been too optimistic – and now it has become too skeptical. The next crucial thing will be: 1. Can they get license sales going again? 2. Can they deliver on international growth? I bought more today.
