1.8. · Muokattu·I originally intended to buy some Turkish stocks via Borsa Istanbul, but I gave up after researching the options on various trading platforms. It turned out to be frustratingly difficult and not very accessible to small savers without direct market access. My theory is as follows: The Turkish lira (TRY) is at the bottom after several years of dramatic depreciation and hyperinflation, but we are now seeing technical signs of a potential reversal. As the chart for Turkish lira futures shows, the price has formed a classic "falling wedge", often a bullish reversal pattern. There is support in several indicators and bullish divergence on the momentum-based oscillator. At the same time, the chart for this ETF shows that the stock market may also be about to turn. Here we also see a "falling wedge", a break and increasing strength in the RSI and Supertrend. Technically, this points to a possible larger upside, i.e. a "mean reversion" trade.
