KLP AksjeGlobal Indeks II is a global equity index fund. The fund seeks to track the KLP World Equity index (the MSCI World Developed Index adjusted for KLPs ethical investing screening criteria). KLP AksjeGlobal Indeks II invests in the largest publicly traded companies in the U.S., “Western” Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. The fund is hedged to Norwegian kroner. The fund has a minimum investment requirement of 10 million NOK.

- ·1.4.Currency hedging does have a cost. Nordnet probably calculates around 7% interest if you are in deficit on, for example, Swedish currency. I assume this fund has a lower cost for this, but what does it cost us unit holders? Around 1% or something of the invested capital?·1.4.It costs you 0.03 percentage points compared to standard KLP AksjeGlobal indeks.·20.4. · Muokattuit is not cash, it is guaranteed to be in short to long-term interest rates. that is exactly what a manager should do when the market becomes too expensive. and it is an enormously expensive market now. so they are doing exactly the right thing to do so they can strike to buy if something were to fall significantly quickly. and then the funds usually have some cash to pay out unit holders who sell. they primarily want to do this without taking out loans or selling units. then cash can be used. normally they have 1-2% for this. if a fund has 100% invested, then they also do not have cash when they need it and must borrow against an interest rate. so what is best?.
- ·18.2.On average, the krone against the dollar has been between 7-8 kroner since the 70s. approx. 34 years under 8kr, and 21 years over 8 kr. But the normal level has on average been at 9 kr since 2014. Currency hedging can be good when the dollar costs over 9kr. Below that, you buy regular funds without hedging.·24.2. · MuokattuThe dollar is enormously overpriced compared to large parts of the world's currencies now. The USA wants to produce more, export more industry etc. Then the dollar MUST go down, otherwise it's a lost battle. So, this has also been announced by the American treasury that they don't have a problem seeing the dollar go down. The dollar exploded with covid and with AI. Where everyone wanted to buy into the best capitalized companies in the world in tough times. It's logical. Then they have to buy dollars. Now we see broad diversification both in the USA and in the world. There are other opportunities, again completely natural to see the dollar being sold. So, agreed 8-9 kr I would guess the dollar will hover between in a normal economy. Then we'll see if that last part is true. In case of weakness, I expect a stronger dollar again, "flight to safety". A good benchmark for the dollar is to look at pre covid.. where it was then...
- ·3.2.Considering switching from unsecured to this one. I believe the krone will strengthen and see no good future within the next 3-4 years for the dollar. Has a horizon of approx. 3 years. What do people think? Worth hedging?
