Huomioi, että vaikka osakkeisiin säästäminen on pitkällä aikavälillä tuottanut hyvin, tulevasta tuotosta ei ole takeita. On olemassa riski, että et saa sijoittamiasi varoja takaisin.

- ·4.8.Good earnings report today! Brief summary Revenue: 1.65 billion USD – above the high end of guidance. Organic growth: 9 % in constant currency – stronger than expected. Acquisition: The new Biosciences & Diagnostic Solutions businesses grew 4 %, and integration is proceeding faster than planned. EPS: Adjusted EPS of 3.05 USD, at the high end of guidance. Guidance: Raised on all significant points. Now expected: 7-9 % organic growth 10-12 % EPS growth in 2026. Cash flow: Positive and recovering after the large acquisition, although working capital is still affected. Debt: Still high after the acquisition, but the company has already started to reduce it. Conclusion The financial report was better than expected. Waters delivered strong organic growth, the integration of the acquisition is proceeding faster than expected, and management raised the full-year outlook. This supports that the acquisition appears to create value, even though the final proof will only come when ROIC and ROCE are again raised over the next few years.
- ·31.7.Based on the financial report in May, there are especially 5 things that I believe will be crucial to follow over the next 1-2 years: 1. Can they maintain organic growth? 13 % organic growth is unusually strong. If they can keep it at 6-8 % after the integration, it is a sign that the core business continues to be exceptional. 2. Will the synergies be realized? Management already says that they see the first revenue synergies and have included: * 15 million USD in organic synergies. * 35 million USD in the acquired businesses for 2026. It is probably just the beginning. If they can increase these synergies in the coming years, earnings can grow faster than revenue. 3. Cash flow The negative free cash flow in the quarter does not concern me in isolation, because the acquisition affects working capital. But in the coming quarters, I would like to see it return to a strong positive level. 4. Debt Debt has risen to 5.2 billion USD. If management starts to pay off 500 million-1 billion USD per year, the market will probably gain even greater confidence in the case. 5. ROIC/ROCE Large acquisitions almost always cause ROIC and ROCE to fall temporarily, because enormous amounts have been invested, while synergies only come later. If Waters in 2-3 years again delivers very high returns on invested capital, it will be a strong sign that the acquisition has created real value.
- ·31.7.I am very much looking forward to the financial report in a few days. After the first quarter, it actually seemed that management got off to a very good start: Organic growth was stronger than expected. The acquired businesses generated more revenue than expected. Guidance was raised already after the first quarter.
- ·28.7.Waters has a strong "moat". The company not only profits from selling instruments, but also from service, software and consumables (columns, chemicals and spare parts), which customers buy again and again throughout the instrument's lifetime. At the same time, the market is growing structurally, driven by more biological drugs, more advanced diagnostics, stricter quality requirements and increased investments in research. The acquisition of Becton Dickinson's Biosciences & Diagnostic Solutions makes Waters an even stronger player in life science and diagnostics and significantly expands the company's growth opportunities. Key figures ROIC: Historically 20-30 %, among the best in the analytical instrument industry. ROCE: Historically 25-35 %, driven by high margins and strong capital discipline. EPS: Long-term expected 10-15 % EPS growth. In the latest quarter, adjusted EPS increased by 20 %, and management raised expectations for the full year 2026. Buybacks: Waters has for many years reduced the number of shares and continues to use share buybacks as an important part of capital allocation. Dividend: No dividend payment. Profit is invested in growth, acquisitions and share buybacks. Expected long-term return If Waters continues with the same quality and execution as historically, I estimate a realistic long-term return of: EPS growth: 10-15 % Buybacks: 1-2 % Dividend: 0 % Change in valuation: -1 to +1 % This gives an expected total return of around 11-17 % per year over a longer period.
- 31.1.2022 · Muokattuviser en stærk udvikling i en stigende trendkanal. Fortsat positiv udvikling indikeres, og der ligger støtte nedad ved bunden i kanalen SL 190
