The Uusikaupunki shipyard is currently engaged in the construction of two offshore patrol vessels, being built in cooperation with the Meyer Turku shipyard. The hull of the most recent vessel arrived at the Uusikaupunki yard at the turn of the year, and work on the offshore patrol vessels is progressing well before the winter holidays. In addition, two service vessels for offshore wind farms are being built in Uusikaupunki, with the commissioning of one of them currently underway. Uudenkaupungin Työvene bought the Olkiluoto shipyard in June 2025, immediately following Summa Defence’s listing. In Olkiluoto, two battery-hybrid passenger vessels are being built for Sweden’s west coast, operating out of Strömstad. The combined workforce of the shipyards is approximately 500 employees, including Uudenkaupungin Työvene’s own personnel and subcontractors.
