The biggest drag came from softness in oil and gas markets, together with uneven order patterns, which hurt sales of the company’s traditionally higher-margin power systems products. The company also faced shipment timing delays tied to data center-related orders, pushing some expected revenue into future quarters. Gross margin fell sharply to 22.9% from 29.7% a year earlier. The decline was caused by unfavorable product mix, lower oil and gas volumes, and higher manufacturing costs. Net income dropped 62% Y/Y to $7.3M, while diluted EPS declined to $0.32 from $0.83 last year. For Q2, Power Solutions (PSIX) expects revenue to remain roughly in line with Q1 levels, with stronger second-half sales anticipated as larger Power Systems orders enter production.
