First and foremost, there's the psychological aspect of a stock split. Would you yourself invest several million kr. in a machine in a company that is listed on the stock exchange at a price close to zero? It's all about branding, appearing professional. The price falls a bit in the short term, as they often do. This doesn't worry me; on the other hand, if this removes doubt from customers who refrain from investing in their systems, then it's VERY positive! That it removes a quick upside on good news - maybe yes, not that it's inherently harder to double from this price. The fundamentals behind the company are still the same, and I'm happy to take a short-term loss of 10-20% if it means they land order after order from now on. Furthermore, in the long run, there's also the possibility of a regular stock split, so personally, I only see positive factors at play here. Both in the short and long term. @Bagnis what do you think about this?
Well written and good thoughts on the share. I don't think one should read too much into a split in the current situation. In the long run and especially if the company gets the breakthrough that might be underway, one probably benefits from these splits as it becomes more attractive for larger players, institutions and funds to invest.
