Selling old ships with good return on capital and buying new ones with poor return on capital. Good luck!
·11.8. · MuokattuA new ship is expected to be delivered in Q3 and one during 2027. A ship has been sold with a profit of 80 mill, or approx. 1.1 kr. Per share. I bought a position in the company based on the P/E figures for 2023, but earnings haven't been as good since. Despite that, I'm sitting with a minimal profit, but bank interest would have been better. It looks like the number of shareholders has fallen in recent years. Q1 this year was worse than last year, but to me it looked like some extraordinary costs had been taken. Perhaps a somewhat forgotten stock since the result hasn't been as expected in the last two years. I'll just keep my position in the company. I could actually imagine increasing my stake in the company even though the risk is high. I haven't delved deeper into neither the accounts nor the operations and future prospects.
I'm sitting on 50% return here plus dividend. Still holding. Not selling before 20 at least.
