·19.3.Contango is down 33% this year, while the gold price is up 6%. For my part, I'm taking the opportunity to rotate more into Contango. From what I understand, production is guided somewhat down in 2026 because they need to spend some time preparing for new production (removing layers of rock over the gold vein). Therefore, a small dip in production in 2026, before production picks up again in 2027. From what I understand, there are also only approximately 11,000 oz remaining of hedge in 2026 and 15,000 oz in 2027 before they are done with the bad hedge, and can expect significantly higher revenues.

9.12.20259.12.2025It's also weird how they will use the generally unknown Contango name going forward, instead of the more well known Dolly Varden. Well silver is over $60 so if it keeps rallying a lot it can be an ok merger after all. But otherwise I think it was not a great decision for Contango.·9.12.2025They say they plan to change the name to "Contango Silver & Gold Inc." At least they get gold and silver into the name. So you are absolutely right that the Contango name is unknown, I hadn't heard of them before yesterday. I come from the "silver camp" so I won't comment on the deal and silver prospects, but I can generally say that I was very surprised by how undervalued Contango is.
