My competition entry for July in "Utmaningen" on Nya Börssnack (nyaborssnack.com). Company: CAG Group Share price: 103.5 SEK In June, several of the portfolio's smaller companies have traded weakly, which has contributed to negative returns in the portfolio. I am quite fully invested, otherwise I would have gladly put in a bit more firepower into the summer market's small-cap victims. But there have been some rotations - I have sold off Inission and Proact to instead buy more in Rejlers, Incap, Exsitec and Generic, as well as a new holding in the form of CAG. I am now very much looking forward to the upcoming reporting season! For July, my choice is CAG Group. It is a consulting company with around 400 employees, listed on Nasdaq First North since 2018. The market capitalization is just over 750 million. The group consists of independent subsidiaries that offer services in Technology Management, System Development, Cybersecurity, Operations & Management, and Training. In other words, it is a fairly classic IT consultant, but with a larger share of management and security focus than most. What distinguishes CAG is the customer base - approximately 60% of revenue comes from Defense and Banking/Finance (the largest customer is FMV). I believe this is an advantage when it comes to the threat AI might pose to IT consultants, as the requirements for operational reliability and integrity are extra high in these industries. There are also some arguments suggesting that FMV will have a lot to do for some time to come, which is of course positive for CAG. How AI development will affect the consulting industry in general is really not obvious - there are good arguments both for getting more and less to do going forward. I lean towards the former, at least in the near term, but CAG Group's niche feels more stable than many other parts of the consulting industry and is therefore somewhat appealing. Financially, the company has delivered strong figures over time. Over the past ten years, revenue growth has amounted to 8% annually (primarily acquired), and profit growth has followed the same pace. Return on equity has averaged 16%, while the balance sheet has been in very good condition with net cash. The stability in earnings is impressive – over both a five and seven-year horizon, the average operating margin has been just under 8%. If one generously adjusts for acquisition costs, the margin becomes stable as a clock, but I think that is a bit too generous as acquisitions are a central part of the business. Anyway, very stable and good profitability over time. Now in Q2, CAG has taken up its latest acquisition, Clara Financial. The company is primarily active in finance and has, among other things, had large projects with the AP funds. Clara had a turnover in 2025 of approximately 100 million with an EBITA margin of 22%, clearly higher than CAG Group's own profitability. The company expects decreased revenue and profit in 2026, as some projects are ending and it will take time before capacity can be filled again. This should still be margin-enhancing for the group, and I don't think it's unreasonable that they can approach the target of 10% EBITA margin (corresponds to approximately 9% EBIT) in a few years' time. Going forward, I sketch out a scenario with relatively modest organic growth (a couple of percent) in a continued cautious market, while consolidating the acquisition of Clara. This yields a revenue of 913 million for 2026 and 979 million for 2027. With a gradual profitability improvement towards a 9% operating margin, I arrive at an earnings per share of 7.7 kronor for 2026 and 8.9 kronor for 2027. At a share price of 103.5, this gives a valuation of P/E 13.4 and 11.6 respectively. In addition, one gets a dividend yield of just over 4%. With an ambition of 10% growth (feels reasonable), a margin target of 10% (feels reasonable), an ROE of just over 15% and extremely stable earnings, I think one can justify a P/E of 15 for CAG. This provides a decent upside in a year or so if the scenario plays out. In other words, CAG will probably not be a rocket, but I think the downside is relatively limited and there is potential even with quite cautious assumptions. A risk worth keeping an eye on is that the company recently changed CEO, which always entails uncertainty. I still think the Q2 report can be good – it's the first quarter with the highly profitable Clara consolidated, and they have an extra working day compared to the previous Q2. CAG Group for July!

Many good companies. Unfortunately weak report CAG. Was Clara a "lipstick on a pig"? Bought Inission , incap, Rejlers, inwido and a little pact at 122ish. Inwido great report. Rejlers ok, pact good. I think Inission will be good too.

Hi, no interest row CAG? Great pressure at Redeye tidl this week. CAG, CombinedX and Prevas stood out with solid presentations and CEOs who exude competence. Takes a few small bets and plnr increase on recoil downwards. Must be part of the long-term digitization trend. These smallcaps can grow very organically and with m&a.

Hej!
