Maybe not much of a hype directly 🙂 For my part, BB is part of my AI stack for cyber security. It might not be considered super sexy right now, but quite safely it will become highly relevant when quantum computing gets properly underway and all the world's encryption can suddenly become ineffective. Thinking long-term.
·25.6.The most important thing in the financial report QNX continues to be the growth engine QNX grew 26 % to $72.3 million. The backlog of future royalties is now close to $1 billion. Management particularly highlights demand from software-defined vehicles and new applications within robotics and AI systems. Secure Communications surprises positively. Grew 24 % to $73.6 million. The business remains strongly exposed to public authorities and regulated customers, which provides relatively stable revenues. The turnaround seems to be working. BlackBerry generated positive operating cash flow of $4.6 million. It is the first time in nine years that the company has delivered a positive first quarter on a cash flow basis. Guidance raised. Management raised expectations for the entire FY2027. Revenue is now expected at $594–$621 million, compared to previous $584–$611 million. The QNX expectation was raised to $295–$312 million. Fantastic financial report and the market reacted accordingly. The stock was up 20 % in premarket. Continued good summer.

Saw that they have a report release and earnings call at 2 PM Swedish time, so things are likely to get heated when the stock market opens at 3:30 PM.
