- ·2 päivää sittenIt's moving nicely lately! Are we going to have a comeback? Well, quite exciting news: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the German technology company Aumovio have entered into a strategic partnership to accelerate the development and deployment of autonomous vehicles using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure. This collaboration was officially announced at the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Aumovio, which was spun off as an independent company from Continental in 2025, is working with AWS to integrate generative and agent AI directly into the development and validation processes for self-driving technology. The AI tools enable engineers to analyze vast amounts of driving data and find rare, difficult scenarios — e.g., pedestrians in the rain — much faster and simpler, simply by using natural language in queries instead of manual searching. This increases efficiency and contributes to higher safety in the systems. The first major application of the technology is with Aurora Innovation, which operates one of the first commercial fleets of autonomous trucks in the USA. The AWS tools are used to scale and validate their Aurora Driver system, and Aumovio also helps manufacture hardware, incl. a backup computer for safety use, which ensures that the vehicle can stop safely if the main system fails. Aurora has already launched commercial autonomous truck services between selected routes in Texas, and Aumovio plans industrial production of the system with an expected start-up in 2027. ⸻ 🧠 Key points • AWS is now the preferred cloud provider for Aumovio's autonomous development. • The partnership integrates AI tools to accelerate the testing and validation of self-driving systems. • This is first applied to autonomous trucks from Aurora in the USA. • Production of an industrial version of the Aurora system is aimed for 2027.
- ·15.12.2025I'm considering opening a position here, but do others who have followed longer than me have a sense of how far we are from an eventual break-even? 28 - 29? I think they can quickly gain momentum if they make some larger collaborations with big companies, possibly Amazon? What are your thoughts on the future for Aurora? Both in '26 but also in the longer term?·17.12.2025Break-even for Aurora is probably still some way off in the future. 2026 could be an important year, but primarily as an inflection point, where they hopefully can show real revenues, more trucks in operation on their current routes and repeated commercial agreements. Larger collaborations can significantly accelerate development. As you yourself mention, an agreement with e.g. Amazon or another major player would be a clear catalyst. The current partnerships, among others with FedEx, are however already positive signals, even though the market is still waiting for the big breakthrough. In the longer term, Aurora is a case that requires a good deal of patience, but at these levels the stock appears relatively attractive.
- ·24.11.2025A few months old but interesting nonetheless. Americans see self-driving trucks as a threat to jobs. https://youtu.be/CQrQrOPmszE?si=1ZR8GQolHIJ8H5Az
- ·4.11.2025Why is it extra exposed today? Does anyone have an analysis on why we are only going backwards and have been doing so for over a year now? With self-driving trucks and several new routes on the way? Is it going too slowly compared to expectations or what is the reason for it? (Knowledgeable people on this stock present)
- ·30.10.2025A little interview with the CEO before the financial statements. https://www.businessinsider.com/aurora-innovation-chris-urmson-google-driverless-vehicles-autonomy-arrived-2025-10
