An excellent article, though also a month old. Known knowledge, perhaps most interesting due to the last part, where Black, following Mannen's and Bent's insights, gives an estimate of how long it will take for the West to be self-sufficient. https://www.nbcnews.com/world/asia/china-south-korea-tungsten-iran-war-mine-rcna346266 Not just around the corner, IF he is right, and delays and protracted mining programs can be said to be his core competence 😄. There are many projects underway. However, as described, it is an unusually difficult metal to extract and process, so one should not expect there to be sufficient quantities of it anytime soon.

Yes, not only does Almonty have mines in place now and not many years from now, they also have the expertise to extract tungsten, which is a complicated metal to extract. This must surely be a success, unless China sends some saboteurs over to South Korea and blows up the mine 😆

Here's a rumor about a possible competitor - in the long run - who apparently has Trump inc. money / corruption involved in the form of US state aid / investment.. That's the kind of thing Lewis wisely doesn't want to know about.. https://www.mining.com/trump-sons-invested-in-us-group-developing-1-1b-tungsten-project-in-kazakhstan-ft/

Hey Jon, yes I REALLY DAMN HOPE we get an NR, and Lewis doesn't screw us over again! Everyone is waiting, you know, but the days are passing, and not many days left in June. If he disappoints again again x5, then I really don't know if I dare to be as loaded, because then we'll go down again 🥴

So the promised updates on molybdenum drilling results arrived. Only 6 months late 😀. I don't quite have the intellect to analyze what it means, but it doesn't sound like they've gotten very far. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20260616660383/en/Almonty-Industries-Provides-Update-on-Large-Scale-Drilling-Program-at-Sangdong-Molybdenum-Project The most important thing from my perspective is that Almonty and Lewis are following up on the promises he has made in the last 2 interviews. And I think it means we might get more NR in the near future, as he has promised! There SHOULD be another one today regarding the completion of the 'water treatment plant'. And later in the month, the production data he has talked about for several months, which are probably quite important catalysts... I'm more optimistic now than in the last many months, even though it will hopefully be more exciting than this, without neglecting the news 😊. I've started to add to my position, at least.

Great with the good update. I also believe that Goldmann Sachs is an institutional holder - and they are not doing it for fun.. :-)

Right now, China's tungsten export restrictions in Japan's AI chip supply chain are splitting this supply in ways that have serious consequences for AI hardware production throughout Asia. The breaking point is not a factory fire or a shipping accident. It is a deliberate, politically driven tightening of China's tungsten exports, a measure that reveals how deeply entrenched the dependencies on single sources still are in advanced semiconductor production, despite years of rhetoric about supply chain resilience after previous geopolitical shocks

    · June 8 SpaceX is listing on Nasdaq this Friday. Ticker: $SPCX . IPO price: $135. Valuation: $1.75 trillion. The largest IPO in stock market history. Most will talk about the rocket company. Almost no one will talk about what builds the rockets. Morgan Stanley has just published a report identifying the five mining companies at the core of the space economy's value chain. Every piece of space equipment starts in the ground. A single satellite contains dozens of special metals for structure, power, thermal management, and communication. The five companies Morgan Stanley highlighted: MP Materials — rare earth magnets for satellites and control systems. Freeport-McMoRan — copper for rocket engine cooling systems. Teck Resources — copper and zinc for aerospace components. Alcoa — aluminum, the backbone of most spacecraft structures. Almonty Industries — tungsten for heat-resistant components. SpaceX is going public on Friday. The mines that build SpaceX are already public. $MP $FCX $TECK $AA $ ALM

https://youtu.be/a6gw3KA7flE?is=SOKPwRgP9t8TCiwv How on earth can one manage not to mention Almonty here? You'd think we didn't exist 🫩 But shouldn't LB join this Kazakhstan project? It seems promising, but is probably many years away from production. Now, I don't really feel Kazakhstan is the safest part of the world to start mining operations in either, but everything is better than Africa and its history with generals who suddenly decide they're going to stage coups.
