GE Aerospace - testing the support line now on the daily chart GE Aerospace has been one of the strongest industrial stocks in the U.S. in recent years, and the chart has moved nicely in an ascending trend channel. Every time it has hit the bottom of the channel, it has turned back up. Most recently in April, when it hit the line around 270 and from there ran all the way up to a new record. The peak came in early August at 388.84 dollars. Since then, it has gone downward, and now we are around 306. And where is the support line on the daily chart? Right there. This week it was down and tested the line around 300 and turned back up again. Several of my indicators now show that the stock is oversold on both the daily and weekly chart, and on the daily chart they are slowly starting to turn up. This is exactly the type of setup I like. Why did it peak in August Several things happened at once. In mid-September, Melius Research downgraded the stock from buy to hold and lowered the target price from 432 to 350 dollars, because they fear that growth in aftermarket will fall to high single digits in 2027. Service and spare parts are GE's golden eggs, so that hit hard. At the same time, GE has difficulty delivering everything. Order backlogs for spare parts rose 20% in Q2 due to a lack of materials. And most recently, the FAA delayed the approval of Boeing's 737 MAX 10 due to a software error from GE. Boeing fell 6.9% and GE 2.7% that day, but the error is in the software and not in the engine. Why should it turn now The actual business is running fine. Revenue rose 24% in Q2, and in July GE raised its expectations for 2026 with EPS guidance of 7.65-7.85 dollars compared to previously 7.10-7.40. They have beaten expectations in the past eight earnings reports in a row. The problem is not demand, but that they cannot deliver fast enough. That is a luxury problem. Analysts' average target price is around 397 dollars, far above where we are now. And historically, GE falls more than the market during unrest, but typically comes back from the bottom in about a quarter. Next earnings report comes around October 20, and there we will see if they can reassure the market regarding 2027. My setup Current price: approx. 306 Support: the bottom of the trend channel, approx. 300 1st target: approx. 330 = approx. +8% (the peak from late September) 2nd target: approx. 370 = approx. +21% (the peaks from August) Next major event: the Q3 earnings report around October 20 If support is broken: we close below 300, we can see further decline. Then you should not stand and hope, but have a clear exit. The stock has fallen approx. 21% from the peak, and much of the negative is in the price now in my opinion. If 300 holds, then the risk/reward looks really good. It is definitely on my list the next few weeks. REMEMBER: earnings report comes around October 20 This is not investment advice, but my own technical assessment. Always do your own analysis.

Here is a cash flow and valuation analysis of GE Aerospace (NYSE: GE) based on the Q2 2026 report and guidance. 1. Key Figures and Updated Guidance (2026) GE Aerospace delivered strong figures for the first half of 2026 and raised its full-year guidance: * Share price today: ~$341 * Outstanding shares: ~1.04 billion * Market capitalization: ~$355 billion * Free Cash Flow (FCF) guidance 2026: $8.9B – $9.2B (Midpoint: $9.05 billion) * Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) 2026: $7.65 – $7.85 (Midpoint: $7.75) * Order backlog (Backlog): Over $210 billion > Free Cash Flow per share (2026E): > > 2. Cash Flow and Valuation Model (DCF) The model is based on a base scenario with 2026 guidance as the starting point: Assumptions in the base scenario: * Growth phase (Years 1–5): 11 % annual FCF growth driven by high demand for commercial engine services (aftermarket) and spare parts. * Terminal growth (g): 3.0 % (long-term growth in the global economy/aviation). * Required rate of return (WACC): 8.5 % (adapted to a market-leading aerospace company with low financial risk). Calculation of present value (DCF): | Year | Expected FCF per share | Present Value (PV at 8.5%) | |---|---|---| | 2026 (Base) | $8.70 | $8.70 | | 2027 | $9.66 | $8.90 | | 2028 | $10.72 | $9.11 | | 2029 | $11.90 | $9.32 | | 2030 | $13.21 | $9.53 | | 2031 | $14.66 | $9.75 | | Terminal Value | $274.55 | $182.59 | | Sum of calculated value (Fair Value) | | ~$247.90 | 3. Multiple Valuation as a Check If we look at traditional valuation multiples for quality stocks in the defense and aerospace sector: * Historical / Sector P/FCF multiple: 28x – 32x FCF. * Fair Value at 30x FCF: 8.70 \times 30 = \mathbf{$261.00} * Today's P/E at price $341: ~$341 / $7.75 = ~44x 2026E EPS (which is high historically). 4. Conclusion and Buying Price with Safety Margin | Parameter | Value per share | |---|---| | Calculated fundamental value potential (Fair Value) | ~$250 | | Today's share price | $341 | | Buying price with 20 % safety margin | ~$200 | | Buying price with 25 % safety margin | ~$187.50 | Conclusion The stock is currently trading around $341, which implies that the market is already pricing in very aggressive growth beyond the company's own guidance. With a calculated fair valuation interval of $245 – $260, a good fixed buying price with a normal safety margin of 20 % would be around $200 per share. 20 % might feel like a lot for such a strong company as GE Aerospace, and $225 (10 % margin) is a more good and realistic starting price to ensure you don't overpay. The main challenge today is simply that the market has priced in much higher growth in the coming years than the official guidance indicates. So according to my calculations with a 10% safety margin The stock is 51% overpriced today… we include a safety margin in case we see a 20/30% recession or correction. This will certainly be seen more than once over 5-10 years.

From CoPilot Bottom Line GE’s fundamentals remain strong—recent earnings beat expectations and guidance was raised—but the stock had run very far, very fast. The current decline is best understood as a valuation‑driven cooldown, not a deterioration in the business.

GE stock's 7% fall may be due to defense revenue growth decreasing from 26% in Q3 to 13% in Q4. Furthermore, commercial engines and service revenue growth decreased from 26% to 24%. "Commercial engines and services revenue surged 24% to $9.46 billion, compared to analyst views for $8.86 billion. Defense and propulsion technology revenue increased 13% to $2.84 billion. However, commercial engines and services revenue growth decelerated from the nearly 26% increase in Q3, while defense revenue growth slowed from its 26% increase in Q3." Huomioi, että vaikka osakkeisiin säästäminen on pitkällä aikavälillä tuottanut hyvin, tulevasta tuotosta ei ole takeita. On olemassa riski, että et saa sijoittamiasi varoja takaisin.
