- ·9.1.Soon time for 10x gearing
- ·8.1.I think it will go much further down if AI development continues as expected. Costs for operating servers and general hardware for servers are explosively increasing as never before. It might sound a bit simplistic, but it's true However, I think a level between $50-55 could be interesting, as I would like to have exposure to cyclical consumption and gaming. Buy, sell or hold? What are your thoughts on the company right now?·3 päivää sitten · MuokattuAs a part-time Roblox YouTuber, I can say that the platform generally has fewer "hits" now than last summer. In addition, the lawsuits are weakening the stock in the short term. Meta quickly doubled after they got out of the lawsuits in 2022, and this is not a small company, so I think this one will do the same in the long run. Buy or sell? RSI is low, so it's probably not a bad idea to buy, but the best thing is probably to watch from the sidelines for now. Last time RSI was so low, it still fell further from 37 all the way down to 21, so one can probably get even better prices than now.·3 päivää sittenI believe that Roblox, just like Minecraft, has a personality that can never be replaced. Roblox has always been here, and will always be here. What makes Roblox so successful is that the platform makes it extremely much easier for new creators to hit big compared to Epic Games, Steam etc. I don't know much about Fortnite's structure, but I would probably assume that they don't have quite the same target audience as Roblox. One of the things that makes Roblox so good is that it's easily accessible on iPad, and is less advanced for younger players. Plus, the Studio platform is perfect for those who dream of creating games. The only unclear thing is what restrictions the platform must introduce to avoid more legal violations. So far, they have handled it poorly, but I believe it will sort itself out eventually. Completely agree that it might be a falling knife right now!
- ·29.11.2025The reason for the decline?·7.1.You should consider in your analysis whether it is entirely accurate how it is accounted for. When they receive money, it is used by users after 3 days, but it is distributed in the financial statements over 27 months, which is why a large part of the debt is not debt to be paid but revenue recognized over the coming approx. 27 months. So, as it is now, the debt increases the more money players spend on the platform, and in my opinion, it's a very one-sided way to assess the financial statements by just using their ebitda. If you recognized it all as revenue, they actually have a profit and will have a quite gigantic profit this quarter with the expected bookings. So yes, there are legal risks, absolutely, but the business itself has probably not been better in many years. They also don't just have 38 million monthly users, but 151 million who log in daily. So there is serious room for advertisements and other things to boost revenue.·7.1. · MuokattuYou misunderstand my argument about the EU. It's 38 million monthly users in the EU. 151 million globally. These figures can, however, be misleading, because it's not Roblox that publishes them (apart from the 151 million they throw at investors) I also doubt the way they calculate their revenue, if your statements are correct. Robux is the dihitale currency on Roblox, and is constantly in circulation. That's correct. But revenue doesn't come from there when dihitale currency is in circulation. It comes from when Robux are bought with real money. This purchase is the revenue, and is recognized as revenue immediately. Roblox has taxes on both users and game developers, taking a cut of every internal transaction, therefore one must buy more Robux for more dollars at times, to keep the Roblox economy afloat. That's probably what you mean by the 27 months, which is misleadingly conveyed when you say it's "the revenue". That's not how accounting works, however. The earnings (purchase of Robux from users) happen immediately, and MUST be recognized as income in the financial statements. Cost of goods sold is found through payouts to users from Roblox itself, through programs like DevEx or "Starprogram" (payouts to influencers on the platform, upon purchase of Robux from their followers. In addition to that, Roblox has large capacity costs through salaries or server operation and maintenance. Already here, Roblox incurs an enormous deficit (EBITDA). The debt has also been growing, because deficits must be financed with short-term debt, e.g. overdraft facilities, or support from either the public sector or investors via bonds or equity issuances (These I don't know if they ikkke issue, however).
- 19.11.202519.11.2025Kilde: Business Wire Tue, November 18, 2025 All users can now voluntarily go through the age estimation process to secure their access to communication features. During the first week of December, Roblox will begin enforcing the age-check requirement in select markets including Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. Those requirements will extend to the rest of the world wherever chat is available in early January. Introducing Age-Based Chat As part of the rollout of required age checks, Roblox is introducing age-based chat, a new communication standard designed to limit conversations to users within the same age group and similar age groups. "Every day, we work to provide over 150 million users with a safe, positive, age-appropriate experience on Roblox," said Matt Kaufman, Chief Safety Officer at Roblox. "By requiring facial age checks to access chat features, we’re helping create an age-appropriate environment for every user, and we encourage the broader industry to adopt similar standards."
