- ·5 t sittenHas Europris moved away from two annual dividends, or was 2025 just a bad year? I see that before 2020, the company only paid one annual dividend, but paid twice annually until 2024. But in 2025 there was only one dividend payment, and they have had one so far this year. Has anyone picked up if the dividend frequency has been changed?
- ·19.8. · MuokattuThe Norwegian brands owned by Eurorpis are sold with the same Norwegian packaging in ÖoB, I see from the Swedish campaign newspapers. How do Swedish consumers react to that? They run a risk, as I see it, by not adapting product names/labeling for Swedish consumers. If consumers do not understand the product concept or the name, sales do not reflect the product's popularity or potential; on the contrary. The results from own brands will rather show the consequence of insufficient communication. We Swedes have no problem with Norwegian branded goods. On the contrary. It's worse with products from Asia, but then you usually have to search to see where they are made!
- ·18.8.ÖoB has, like kjelle, configured its site so that it disconnects if you use plugins that block spying trackers. This does not inspire confidence in the business. (Europris' own site, however, does not do so)
- ·17.8. · MuokattuEuropris was long my favorite but then they bought ÖB. I draw some parallels to Vend and wonder if it's possible to sell in a new concept that works well in Norway in Sweden. That's what EPR and Vend are trying, and both are struggling heavily. That I draw the parallel to Vend is because it's easier to explain. I have used Blocket a lot and think Finn is much better than Blocket was. Nevertheless, Vend has received strong reactions against the improvements that make Blocket more like Finn, and old Blocket users want Blocket back the way it was. It is poor management to force customers into something they don't want. Otherwise, I think Vend has done a lot right. So what about Europris? ÖB is a small player in Sweden. I visited a couple of stores in the past few days and the clientele that shops at ÖB is different from that at Jula or Rusta, Europris must position ÖB correctly to succeed, i.e., with a relevant product assortment that suits the customer group they are addressing. The challenge is that neither the customer group nor the product segment matches the stores Europris has in Norway. This reduces the opportunities for synergies and increases the risk of making mistakes. Compared to Vend, which has significantly greater market power, it becomes more difficult for Europris to succeed. The devil is in the detail, so I'm not saying Europris will fail, but I recommend Europris's top management to visit a larger number of their stores to understand who the customers are. My view on the stock is that the potential for a large upside is not there this year or next year. The management is skilled but must become even better to succeed.
- ·30.7.Retail trade up 1.8% in June. Isn't that a lot?It is very good. Goods are gushing out of stores like Europris and Jysk. Empty shelves, people are shopping like crazy with today's discounts. There is still good gross profit on the goods. Even sold out of toilet brushes.
