Oil production companies will not earn anything from Venezuela until production is up and running. Another thing worth mentioning is that the takeover of Venezuela will potentially add enormous amounts of oil to the market, and that is a negative effect on the oil price. The advantage of oil service companies is that they are not dependent on the oil price, as the large oil production companies MUST spend enormous sums on upgrades regardless of the oil price. Long-term, oil production companies lose earnings due to massive new supply of oil on the market, and oil service companies earn due to massive CAPEX to develop and further explore the areas. As Trump himself has said, he wants lower energy prices and "DRILL BABY DRILL" Any other inputs?
