- 8.9.8.9.I haven't knowledge how significant these kinds of improvements are for the company. Although lower emissions and a bit lighter costs. Anyone who has technics competencies? "News Releases: Canadian Solar Unveils Breakthrough Low-Carbon Modules, Setting New Benchmark in Sustainable Manufacturing Canadian Solar developed the Low Carbon modules through proprietary innovations in ingot, wafer and HJT cell technologies. Each technology innovation has contributed to the reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions: Higher ingot utilization rate – Increasing ingot utilization rate by around 20%, thus lowering emissions by approximately 9.7% (or 30 kg CO₂ per kWp). Thinner wafers – Reducing wafer thickness to 110 μm (compared to 130–135 μm in TOPCon/BC) for each solar cell, thus reducing silicon consumption and carbon emissions by 4.5%–5.5% (or 14–19 kg CO₂ per kWp). Optimized HJT cell manufacturing – Streamlining production to just four steps (compared to 10–13 steps for TOPCon/BC solar cells) and lowering operating temperature to <230 °C (compared to 960°C–1050°C typically needed). This reduces energy consumption by 4.2%–5.7% (or 14–21 kg CO₂ per kWp). Lower total energy consumption – Throughout the entire LC module production, the total energy consumption is around 105.62 MWh/MW, representing an energy saving of 8.8%–10.7%, compared to TOPCon and BC solar module production. Altogether, these improvements shorten the carbon payback time of Canadian Solar's LC modules by approximately 11%, compared to conventional N-type silicon-based modules available today. Canadian Solar's Low Carbon modules enable customers to achieve two goals at once - deploying one of the industry's most efficient, high-power modules while significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the solar power systems. The LC modules are also fully compatible with Canadian Solar's inverter portfolio. For example, the 350-kW utility inverter portfolio features a 40 A MPPT DC input current, maximizing bifacial gain and maintaining excellent performance even in high-temperature environments up to 45 °C."
- 4.9.4.9.Step by step forward and next-generation solutions:"KITCHENER, ON, Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Canadian Solar Inc. (the "Company" or "Canadian Solar") (NASDAQ: CSIQ) today announced that e-STORAGE, which is part of the Company's majority-owned subsidiary CSI Solar Co., Ltd. ("CSI Solar"), will launch its next generation modular battery, FlexBank 1.0, at RE+ in Las Vegas next week. The new system is expected to be ready for deployment in 2026. The FlexBank platform also serves as a foundation for e-STORAGE's next-generation battery cell technologies that will feature higher amperage in a larger form factor and superior performance characteristics"5.9. · Muokattu5.9. · MuokattuI would rather wait. For the long case. Solar energy is although the cheapest way to produce energy. I agree that this company has been difficult to me because it use so much chinese products and parts for its processes of production.
- 21.8.·Ouch, then Trump (also) managed to put a spoke in this wheel 😐
- 17.7.17.7."Recurrent Energy Secures $260 Million Financing for Blue Moon Solar Project in Kentucky", Canadian Solar News Release today. Seems like the red states are developing more and more renewable energy solutions. Arizona was last time now Kentucky
- 7.7.7.7.CSIQ News Release today: "KITCHENER, ON, July 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc. ("Canadian Solar") (NASDAQ: CSIQ), and a leading global developer, owner, and operator of solar and energy storage assets, announced today that the 1,200 MWh Papago Storage facility in Maricopa County, Arizona, has reached commercial operation. The project is now dispatching stored energy to..." Promising news.
